I agree with #93 that Not Very Bright is currently the best political blog in South Carolina.

I noticed the trend you are talking about recently. The Rolla Daily News (a mid Missouri, smaller paper) attempted to do some blogging, but it didn’t end up lasting. I hear there are many newspapers that are paying people only for blogging. School newspapers have got into it too, like The Missouri Miner (www.themissouriminer.com), but I suppose that is no surprise as students are in a generation that grew up with blogging.

Oh great, Phoenix Woman. I just started my wide-ranging, anything-goes blog without a local slant.

Back to the drawing board?

In West Virginia we are proud to have http://www.wvablue.com which is the successor to http://wvkossacks.blogspot.com which was also known as WVBlue. The move to our new site was helped along substantially by a grant from blogpac.com. BlogPac has done a great job in helping the local blog movement along.

I also do a local blog for a local group of local democratic party activists at http://www.merceruniteddemocrats.org.

bonkers #25,

I don’t see the corruption. Schumer picked up the tab, is there anything else that might make me support your postion about corruption? Obviously these guys have to talk to each other, and unless there is something you know they discussed other than they met in an Italian restaurant in NYC, its idle gossip….move along folks.

Neil says:
Yes that was some crazy lady . Her whole posture was ATTACK . Evangelising her point past comprehension . Frustrated or annoyed Waxman -narrowing the definition to keep it legal but incomprehensible- . Something like that . If it were someone from around here it might have sounded a bit like this “How much extra for the question I asked ?”

These RW lies persist because the WaPo continues to be run by Fred Hiatt. Right now is a special opportunity to go after Fred, friends. It would be one thing if Toensing et.al. were carried only by the RW media. But they are carried by the supposed “liberal media” too. Might I sugggest that we redouble our efforts at the WaPo, which continues to provide grist for the DC cocktail circuit, conferring an imprimatur of respectability to the most absurd lies and disinformation?

For details, see Bob Parry’s latest:
http://www.consortiumnews.com./2007/031707.html

Not currently in Carolina, but I had high hopes for southcarolina08. It has changed ownership after the owner left to work for Obama, and just isn’t the same. However, I’m often impressed with Not Very Bright.
