What you’re missing is that Toensing claims to be the World’s Foremost Authority on the Intelligence Identities Protection Act (IIPA) of 1982 (Pub.L. 97-200, 50 U.S.C. � 421-426). Therefore she claims to have Knowledge of who the law applies to, and who it doesn’t, and feels Empowered to Pronounce Judgment on all matters pertaining to the IIPA.

See, this is what’s so strange about Toensing’s non-appearance in the news stories on the Waxman case. Did the media realize — after Waxman repeatedly called her on her lies — that she wasn’t to be trusted (and that any attempts to build an anti-Plame case from Toensing’s words was doomed from the start)?

No one has picked up on Waxman’s excellent snark at the end of her testimony, which went approximately-

Waxman: I do not think you should base your view of the law on what you did 30 years ago.

Toensing: (simpering)only 25!

Waxman: I’ll hold the rcord open on that as well.

I knew Knodell reminded me of someone. Check it out!

Felt a bit sorrry for Knodell, especially when someone called him “the fall guy”. This reminded me forcibly of David Kelly, who was the man who might have leaked the UK “dodgy dossier” to the press. In a UK Parliamentary committee he was called the fall guy. He went home and committed suicide.

He testified on behalf of the White House today (the Administration of the United States of America) and has no apparent “history”. There is absolutely no background on this person on the Internet at all. Personally, I find it very strange that a person could appear before Congress (sent by the President presumably) and testify under oath representing our Government, and have no traceable past. I, as a citizen, would like to find out what his background is, and that is what I keep referring to.

Two of them are Tom Dreier and Sandra Evans. I did find out that a James R. Knodell and Joyce Knodell (via Zabasearch/intellius) have had several addresses in “Virginia”, so I guess that may indicate why we can’t find him…puts on tinfoil hat…
