Legalize the Irish!

I hope Fitzgerald can join the thousands of Irish-Amerricans who are bringing St Patrick’s Day to Capitol Hill ten days early this year for the national Lobby Day and Rally for the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform on Wednesday March 7th.

We need comprehensive immigration reform with a path to earned legal status for the undocumented Irish so that the next generation’s Patrick Fitzgerald can remain in America.

Whatever happens – I have been very grateful for FDL.

Ever since the defense rested, I have felt that there would be guilty verdicts opn at least four out of five counts; with the possible not guilty being count three. After the jury questions and the responses by Judge Walton, especially those made early this morning, I am feeling much better about the chances of a guilty on count three as well. Hope this doesn’t jinx anything.

Poor. Discussion of the counts was breif. People who have not been following like us at FDL are thinking ‘who is Scooter Libby again?’ and ‘what was this trial about?’

Both were uncovered by CNN. CNN assumes the audience knew who Libby was, and CNN assumes that the audience knew what events led up to Libby’s trial (–> The outing of a CIA spy).

Such basics have been ignored ON PURPOSE, to make this less of a big deal. Go about your lives. Nothing to see.
