As you might know. mr, emptywheel is Irish. So when things disappear or reappear at my house, it's always attributed to the ________ faerie. It goes something like this:
"Sweetie, did you use the last eggs?"
"Oh, I thought the egg faerie would have brought more."
OR
"Hey, are we having people over? The beer faerie's been."
Always said in Fiona Ritchie's Scottish accent, you understand, not my husband's own Irish accent, which very light.

And I did this Verdict Faerie thing (meant to have it BEFORE the verdict announcement) because we did dinosaurs yesterday (the Peanut's costume), vultures today, and now, McCaffrey the verdict dog.

I wish I had the confidence to predict a ‘guilty’ finding on the obstruction charge but since I have faith in the Fitz team, I’ll take the leap of faith. My prediction: 4 Counts Guilty. One count Not Guilty.
2 counts of lying to FBI - Guilty, Guilty
1 count of lying to GJ - Guilty, Not Guilty
1 count of Obstrcution - Guilty.

I hope Fitzgerald can join the thousands of Irish-Amerricans who are bringing St Patrick’s Day to Capitol Hill ten days early this year for the national Lobby Day and Rally for the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform on Wednesday March 7th. We need comprehensive immigration reform with a path to earned legal status for the undocumented Irish so that the next generation’s Patrick Fitzgerald can remain in America.

Marvelous coverage, and thank you. As a former criminal defense lawyer, I personally felt little pleasure at a not guilty verdict. All that meant was that the prosecution had not met its burden of proof, not that my guy or gal was innocent, and I did represent some rascals writ large.
Similarly, I have never taken pleasure in a guilty verdict, seeing as how yet another flawed human being has been brought up short, while knowing that some baddies do need to be removed from society.
I take no pleasure in Libby’s guilt, as I am assuming he will be so found. Frankly, I weep for the dysfunctioning human beings that inhabit the Bush circle of power. I simply hope that they will be put away, and that maybe the country can recover. I have never felt comfortable casting stones, so I really take no pleasure when flawed human beings are nailed, so to speak. But they do need to answer for some pretty serious crimes, and I am not talking about perjury or obstruction of justice.
