Greetings and congratulations on a brief shining moment of justice. I’ve been lurking here for a bit during the Libby trial. You guys rock!

Yes, Educated Plaintiff (#137) I caught the exchange on newshour. Ugh. B-V was great at holding his composure during vicki’s verbal fart. “It was more a case of he said-they said” when she was trying to argue a lack of collaborative evidence. Hey, don’t forget all the written collaboration! Sheesh.

Jurors did a great job but can’t help but wonder if their “sympathy” is a self-protective shield against social backlash. I hope they also feel some sympathy for the Wilsons.

I vote for Jack Black to take on either Tim Russert (Mr. Potatohead) or Dick Cheney’s role. Will Ferrell as W of course. Molly Shannon as Judy? Leonardo as Joe Wilson?

I’m really really new here. Can’t for the life of me figure out who “Tweety” is. Ugh, ignorance exposed is not a pretty sight.

Thank you Valerie, thank you Joe, thank you all of FDL. I can’t help remembering being there on August 21, 2003, when something like 1400 Seattlites attended the meeting in which Ambassador Wilson suggested that Karl Rove should be frogmarched out of the White House in handcuffs. It’s certainly been a long and winding road, and a great many people have walked that road along with the Wilsons, FDL, and the blogs, the new Fifth Estate. And it aint over yet!

they put richard ben-veniste opposite
victoria t. on the news hour to discuss the verdict tonite!

ben-veniste = his usual calm, authoritative, informed, experienced, (watergate, sept 11th hearings), demeanor - smiling with confidence

vicky = clearly uncomfortable, (wouldnt look at b-v), uninformed, grasping at straws, defensive, frowning, expressionless & then smiling through clenched teeth. even the items she listed as grounds for appeal were pathetic!

when she tried to allude to fitz having a political motive, (painting herself into a corner), she quickly had to back away. it was pretty funny actually.

i thought ben-veniste was one of the shinning stars of the sept 11th hearings (saw all of them - gavel to gavel), - dont mess w/ him vicky!

to p. fitzgerald - thank you for all you & your staff has done these past, (almost), 4 yrs. i hope you take a bit of a vacation now. you’ve earned it.

thanks again to all at fdl - you too have earned a place in american history!

Will the court let Libby dress in a suit when he is called to testify at the Plame/Wilson civil trial?
