I jokingly said to my husband (who faithfully watches the Sunday lineup no matter what, poor fellow)…”I wonder if Lieberman will be on one of the shows this am, and guess what? Son of a gun..there he is with Carl Levin who just last week referred to Joe as a Democrat. I wrote Senator Levin to set the record straight, once again. And yet, here we are having to be subjected to Holy Joe against our will. When does this man of little principle finally get marginalized?

I’m an newbie commenter. Also have cranky cardinals that keep me in line. I get really honked when Joe is on the news taking the place of a real Democrat, forcing me to change channels. It’s hard enough living in Texas now that Ann and Molly and the relief they brought are gone, without seeing Joe in Demcratic Drag on TV!!

Thanks for walking through the mud with the Sunday lineup. It’s so important to keep an eye on this weekly travesty. I have not been able to do it since Russert testified.

I spent an average of 30 hours a week last year working on getting progressives elected to office, the kind of folks who see Walmart our way. But not everybody can do that; they have to start where they are.

As I said, I don’t disagree with you and I did flip those words around to get to where I got.

My point is that Ann Coulter is looking for attention/headlines and when she goes waaay outside of the world of reality, maybe she should be ignored.

If Edwards were gay, in no way would I say ignore this. Just as if she insulted Obama regarding his heritage, I would say go after it, full-speed ahead.

The only point I am trying to make is that this Coulter-creature wasn’t saying anything that was the slightest bit credible to ANYONE about Edwards, she was saying “look at me, I’m important and can make headlines by being ridiculously outrageous” yet again, and as long as we fall for that, troll that she is, she won’t go away.

The average American is more likely to get exposed to a drug-resistent MRSA infection in the hospital than anywhere else. That statistic is changing, but for now, I’d rather avoid the hospital. (Community-acquired MRSA’s are different from hospital-acquired MRSA’s; the community-type are those that have largely developed in response to antibacterial products used in the home, while hospital-acquired are those that are more likely antibiotic resistent. Give me the former over the latter if I have to have one…)

My mother is an ER nurse, has been in the healthcare profession for more than 40-plus years. She is terrified of hospital-acquired MRSA’s and knows the odds of getting one there are incredibly high. Cripes, we’ve had a conversation about this very topic within the last month when she was indulging in shop talk-venting especially about the new strains showing up in vets from Iraq.

You gotta love it.
