My wonder was at your endorsement of a statement of a vote for Chuck Hagel as opposed to “DLC neocon Obama,” who was equated with Hillary Clinton.

Terry – Forgive me if I sounded like that at any time… I don’t support a vote for Hagel, ever. I don’t like Obamas tendency to favor DLC tactics, such as his recent speech to AIPAC etc. but I am trying to keep an open mind about Senator Obama (for cosideration later if my other favorites fall by the wayside).

As for who will be able to win or not (Kucinich) well it’s early, nothing is decided and I intend to support the best in the running for the position. Its preprimary and up until that season has passed I don’t want to accept the MSM notion that whoever is in a “winnable” position must be the only people we should take seriously.

After all, that is how Clinton made it to NY..

I can debate the merits with any leftist around but I’d rather debate the merits with someone who holds an opposite view. I went to schools where I was taught to think, not to believe. It is usually defined by popular prejudice and sociological claptrap. I get a particular kick out of “mixed race” when we all are.

Obviously those who think there is no way of easily distinguishing the general population of, say, Stockholm and Tokyo are blind as bats. But the inhabitants of Stockholm may be distinguished from other Europeans by their admixture of East Asian ancestry while royal lineage in Japan likely has a hefty dose of Indo-European ancestry.

Good to be against bad things. But it might be helpful to know what those things are I think.

Lieberman has managed to get exactly what he’s wanted. He’s put himself into a position where people on both sides of the aisle drop to their knees & give him BJs. All he has to do is threaten to vote with the Republicans or caucus with them, and he gets another carrot from the Democratic leadership. It just goes to show what a self-centered prick Lieberman is. He only cares about people making him feel important – using & abusing power – instead of caring about representing his constituents by doing what is right for his country.

I know this is late in the thread, but I just had to post this. I’ve never had a high level of contempt and disrespect for Lieberman until recently. I was disgusted that he did the C4L ploy, because that was the first sign than his ego was more important than the Democratic process and Democratic party. Ever since November, he’s been increasingly repulsive. I can’t believe I cast a vote for this disingenuous megolomaniac for Vice President.
