Welding analogies.

A spot weld is actually among the weakest kinds of welds. It is a small intermittent weld usually used for temporarily holding something in place.

Among the strongest kind of welds is the “Full Penetration Butt” weld. Not only is this weld strong, it also …uh… evokes rather interesting imagery in when used as an analogy for connections between people.

I differ with you on your delight in the situation although I understand and appreciate that as well.

My delight is tinged with paranoia. Given the conditions you lay and and we both agree with, what is/will be the Rethug response? Right now I’d say they’re looking to start a war with Iran in the fastest, most plausible deniable way possible. The response from Congress and the public would likely lead to marshal law, either as an act of public outrage or consumer backlash as gas prices rise to stratospheric (European) levels.
