IANAL but my guess is that the jury realizes how important this case is, knows that Cheney might face charges at some point and wants to be extra careful that they don’t make any errors.
Plus, if they are really smart, they won’t convict on Friday afternoon. They’ll wait til Monday when the news cycle is better.

I agree that length of time & asking for supplies are bad signs. Doubt the jurors are aware that Cheney might be next, or even how important the case is. Those thoughts project the FDL obsession on normal people.

But this jury is not “normal people”. They’ve been brought up to speed about the Plame Affair like we have, except that we have had several years to fill in the missing pieces and they had the whole thing explained to them methodically in one month. I think you underestimate the jury. I’ll bet they are systematically going through each jury instruction, making charts and character webs and timelines. Unless there is a plant in this jury, I am confident that they will reach the correct conclusion. And I don’t doubt for a moment that they know EXACTLY what is at stake here.
Don’t worry so much. I’ll eat my keyboard if I’m wrong.

–He thinks Democrats should stop criticizing Hillary Clinton for refusing to say she made a mistake by voting for the Iraq war.

She’s spending everyday in the public eye during her husband’s trial, and she can’t bother to get to a salon for a touch up? Or a drugstore and do it herself?

Maybe this would make sense if I was one of the entitled money people, but I’m not, so it just looks weird.
