James Carville and Mary Matalin: I have never understood this marriage, and why it’s working. But then again, who knows?

Me neither. But what is worse is that how is it that Carville is on the talk shows day after day as THE expert Democratic insider? I have never been comfortable with him as a spokesperson for the Democrats, and my hope would be that they cut him off the payroll without another penny and find someone who (a) doesn’t shill for the DLC, (b) isn’t married to Mary Matalin, and (c) doesn’t look like an alien from outer space.

What the Dems need for a spokesperson is someone who looks and talks like John Edwards– you know, someone whom you’d like to invite to your house for a Sunday afternoon barbecue.
