T-Rex, why settle for an overused form like fiction or essays? My proposition is that you write a book of fables, complete with moral lessons. Fables along the lines of “The Vice President Who Cried Wolf” and “The Senate Intelligence Committee Investigation and The Hare.”

Thank the elements that you don’t have blackflies (yes, I know about eagle-sized mosquitoes; I lived in Sarasota FL. Blackflies are worse.)

Oh, my, yes, they are worse than mosquitoes. I lived in Vermont for a few years and vividly remember blackfly season which came, if I recall correctly, at the end of mud season. Of course, we have our sand gnats and no-see-ums to torment us down here… But we don’t have deer flies, at least not that I’ve ever seen.

Don’t forget the fire ants!

Story currently on CNN – Troops going to Iraq weren’t shown an existing, detailed safety video about depleted uranium. Instead, they were shown something that said that the amount of radiation that the depleted uranium ordinance emits is well within safety standards.

No one could have foreseen the sickness and birth defects that are now emerging.
