I think most independents that thought he was sniffed this guy out before a little the huggin and kissin on Bush he did.

He is a joke and the pople will not let the media spread some lie that he is viable and moderate - he sucks and the Republicans do not have a single viable candidate at this time.

They will need to get one since at least 32% of the people would vote for a flip flopping loser like Romney, and then they will fool about 8% of the people (that vote).

January is not even over and they have practiclly spent an entire year of credibility already.

The Dems have not even begun to unwind the corruption and horror they have been visting up us for the last 1 year, and the last 6 years or more.

Everyone in the world (not just in TX) that is not in the oligarch go banged hard with zero lube by Eron with is friends Bush, the FEC, the banks, the media, et al.

The no difference and not an important election was the biggest manipulation in American policitics when taken into account with all the other elements of the day and what has happened since. It allowed people to think, what the hell I’ll give the new guy a try he sounds like (the media tells me) a good guy.

It then continues with a mini-portion of the scandel coming out before the election and bit more after - and then it all gets buried except for a “far left” DVD movie, and the two investigations so far (Lobby evil, and Libby the Curtain).

Just looking at what Enron did and all the people that helped them and stole money. How does the Dem Govoner of CA (Davis) get blamed for Enron “Ricochet” energy out of the state when they need it to drive up the price, and have traders on the floor calling power plants to have them shut down (de-regulation) - this gets blamed on Davis and Arnold meets with Ken Lay and some other Bush buddies and plans a coup of the Governership of CA.

All this essentially happens before 2000, and every election since. So you have to ask yourself… have the people spoken? Or do they think they can just tell us what to do and think?

I caught the tail-end of an interview on Radio Nation last night; the guest said to keep an eye next week for the development of a recall of McCain. Did anyone hear this show in its entirety? I’d love to know more.

McCain’s ’short fuse’ coupled with his age ARE distinct problems for this man. He’s just too old to be president. Sorry.

One commendable thing McCain has done in recent years was to hold the hearings in his Senate Indian Affairs Committee that resulted in the full outing of Abramoff, and probably led to the defeat of Ralph Reed in the Georgia Lt. Governor’s race last year. McCain and Byron Dorgan laid out just enough of the Abramoff mode of operation — get the tribes to fight each other for Casino Rights, or use Reed’s Fundi’s to fight a tribe so as to make difficult the ability to license a Casino — that the Dept. of Justice had to put in resources and deal with the whole Abramoff operation. I have never been clear just exactly what political calculations went into McCain’s decision to use that very underused tool called Senate Hearings to open up that can of worms — at times my guess is it was essentially an anti-Rove & Nordquist venture, (Perhaps related to 2000 tactics) as Rove clearly was tied to Abramoff in ways we still do not understand. Anyone have a theory about it all?

[…] Jane (welcome back!!!) has a great post about Bush’s efforts to steal or subvert McCain’s mojo - quite possibly the only thing his administration has been successful at of late. […]

Has the word macaca been redefined as a person with a video camera at a political rally that catches the candidate with his/her pants down?

Of course Shrub doesn’t have the same kind of daddy issues with McCain as he does with Baker — McCain’s the daddy he was able to crush and slander in South Carolina 2000, and who’s been kissing his ass ever since.
And now he gets to humiliate him again.
