This speech would be so much more fun if Pelosi sat back there talking non-stop on a pink Motorola RAZR™ while smoking cigarettes and doing her nails, pausing only to occasionally roll her eyes and check her watch.

The other inhabitants wonder why sometimes I clap my hand over my mouth and make odd little snuffling noises. I tell them it’s to help pop my ears so I can hear again, but its generally from reading TRex roll out the snappy one-liner.

They know I lie.

Yeah I saw McCain on meat the press saying pretty much the same thing. How dishonest. More like folks in CT wouldn’t have voted for Liarman if he hadn’t lied about his position on Iraq. So the question that runs through my mind: Is McCain stupid or a liar?

This is a trick question: he is, of course, a stupid liar.

yup, I think so too. It probably has a few liability from lawsuit and insurance protections. I saw Petraeus on a replay of his confirmation hearing. He specified civilian security forces in the numbers of forces needed for his operations.

I suspect the real reasons behind this “Civilian Reserve Corp.” are multiple; can get around Congressional approval require to ramp up troop count by employing civilians to cover logistics-related matters that troops now handle, and can obtain these civilians at costs far less than Blackwater/Halliburton rate.

And probably more than the cost of the troops we are now employing to do this same work.

I wish Bush would just bail out now, like he has on everything else he’s ever done. There would be little damage if he simply walked out of his office and hopped a plane to Paraguay right now. It might give the American people the backbone necessary to begin impeaching Cheney — since even the mouth-breathers in the basement can’t stand Cheney.
