I think you are getting a little carried away on the witness scheduling issue. From my experience as an expert witness, you just roll with the punches. Scheduling witnesses is part of the job for both prosecution and defense. For a trial of this national importance, any witness called is going to be flexible in scheduling - no matter how clogged his or her schedule is at this time.

It really is Fitzmas. With so many posts and comments to open, not sure where to start first.

To read the comments, I’ve settled on a soundtrack, too. Pink Martini’s album Hang On Little Tomato has a song titled “Lilly” which sounds similar to the more familiar word “Libby” these days.
“Let’s Never Stop Falling In Love” is catchy too. I keep thinking of “falling stars”

LOOK UP! LOOK UP! It wasn’t posted as a comment but as an update at the top of the thread:

Court is done for today.

We now stand at 30 qualified jurors on the pool, but we need 36. It took us all day to get 6, so the Judge adjourned for the night and hopes to complete jury selection Monday. Opening statements, he said, will not commence until Tuesday at the earliest.

The calendar is too full for any jury selection tomorrow though there will be a conference among attorneys tomorrow at 3PM EST, which, according to Jeffress (whom I tracked down in the hall), will cover small issues related to jury instructions, among other things unspecified. Being inside the courtroom this afternoon was interesting.

I’m going to leave court now and will have an update and nightly recap later on.
