You’re very important to all of us. Our thoughts are with you.
I’m a long-time lurker, very occasional commenter, huge fan, and two-time breast cancer survivor. Jane, having been there, done that, etc., etc., I know what you’re going through and it just plain sucks. All my thoughts, prayers, spirit, moral support, and anything else I can think of are with you. You know we love you!
Just a few more words of hope and good cheer to you Jane. At a time when you need to direct your energies to yourself, you have been gracious and concerned about all of us. You’ve paid so far forward, I’d say the cosmos owe you on this. Be well.
Work for peace [especially your own inner peace now], every day.
We need you. Kick this crap and come back ASAP.
Best wishes for a full recovery, Jane.
Oh, Jane, I hope this comes out the best ever this time.
Have you had any contact with “The Wellness Community”? When my ex-wife was recovering from leukemia we visited, and a friend of Gilda Radner taught us a song of Gilda’s:
(sort of to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies)
“I am well and wonderful
and I am cancer-free
no little cancer cells
are hiding inside of me
but if I find a cancer cell
just trying to hang on
I’ll smash and beat it’s fucking head
until it’s dead and gone!”
Be well Jane!!!
My prayers are with you, Jane…
Best wishes for a complete recovery. Your site has been an oasis in the desert of GOP bullshit.
Thanks to Christy, TREX, Pachacutec, Scarecrow, et al. for their continued work.
Best, jbl
your inimitable reporting and considerable analytic powers, Jane, sustained me through mastectomies and chemo. Fight it with all you’ve got – you empower more people than you can possibly imagine! Friderike
Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus. I am a long-time lurker, yet I feel a little bit as if I know you. I wish you a full recovery. You don’t know how many people you have touched through your work here. Please know that the ‘roots are rooting for you.
(((((((((((((((((((((Jane)))))))))))))))))))))
Jane, count me among your admirers and well-wishers. And comrades, let us use this as yet another reason to redouble our dedication to truth, justice, and the humane way, as the Creative Forces of the Universe no doubt intend for us to do.
Note to TRex, Christy, Pach and all Firedogs:
I think we’re all pretty focused on giving Jane good energy. How about starting a “Waiting Room Thread” for Thursday for people to post prayers, best wishes and humor to the proceedings? Humor, especially. Laughter brings hope and clears the negativity.
Just my .02
Our thoughts and positive energies are with ya.
All the best, Jane.
I am a great admirer! Off with the C bastard’s heads!!! E hugs, Barbara
Will be pulling for you, and looking fwd to the 4th.
Get well.
God bless and God speed you on your recovery. You are a true hero – fighting the good fight for lefties everywhere. We know you’ll beat the C.
Please accept my best wishes, however belated.
I wish you luck.
Good luck.
Hopefully Fitz will save the best for when you get there.
You brightened every room you entered at YKos with a controlled inner fire. I can almost see it cauterizing your wounds from the inside out. Get. Well. Soon.
I’m looking forward to those February reports.
LIGHTING A HUNDRED CANDLES IN MY HEART FOR YOU, JANE
Get well soon Jane.
We all need you and believe.
Jane, take that hero in you and win again.
Much much love through it all.
We’re thinking of you. Don’t just beat it; beat the HELL out of it!
Good luck Jane! You’ll be close to my heart in my prayers for a good surgery outcome and a speedy recovery!
Thanks for the post…and thanks for all the hard work. I think I speak for other lurkers in the blogosphere when I say: we’re pulling for you!
Hey kiddo,
I’d like to say that I’ve been on the verge of suicide many times over the years. Life seemed so useless each time. What kept me here was a nagging curiosity that I had not seen enough or learned enough to just chuck it all. I’m now almost seventy. I continue to look forward to seein these assholes in the Hague. You have started something here which will not stop. It’ something to stick around and watch. So stick around. The human will is a powerful tool. We’re in your corner.
from a long-time lurker, some-time commenter
be well.
luck be with you.
take good care.
Pulling for you Jane ,Never Give Up,Never Give In.
Oy, oy, oy! Stiff upper lip. We’re on your side.
Be strong, sister. We are all pulling for you!
another lurker out of the woodwork to say good luck jane…we’ll read ya again real soon
Much love and best wishes for a super-speedy recovery. We need you in that courtroom!
Dear Jane:
Well, its always some damned thing . . . As another Westsider, I know you are getting great care. Your physicians are the best.
Thanks so, so much for hunting these people down and holding them to account in the court of public opinion (which is the one that matters most in many ways).
I know you’ll be at the trial soon, and after all . . . the early days are always deadly dull :)
Sincerely,
Nancy Fulton
PS: Stupid cancer . . .
And another lurker and big fan, here. Jane, I’m pulling for you. Look at all of this good karma coming your way. Best wishes for an easy recovery.
Jane, I wish you the strength and support of the entire cosmos to go through this and come out better and stronger than ever–and fully recovered to see the day Libby finally gets what’s coming to him.
I know you have tremendous support and fyi I’m a professional healer, so if there’s anything I can offer you PLEASE let me know.
Jane, I am a “neocon nutjob” All I want to say is Get Well Soon. You are obviously a fighter and a person of tremendously strong will and determination. You got me reading the left side blogs and I thank you for that.
The left and right have their obvious differences, but one thing we do have in common is the need for strong voices of conviction to voice our passions.
And your are one of those voices!
So from this “knuckle dragging neocon” (Ha Ha), Get well soon !
I’m an “old time” blog reader and poster, not much these days, but I wanted to say how much I admire what you’ve done with your life and thank you.
Your honesty, fighting spirit and humble manner are so attractive….you’re one of the few bloggers I think I’d want to meet in the real world.
We all need you to be well, and to be here for all of the great things that will be happening in the next 20 years, which you’re a part of.
I visit this site regularly and was saddened by your news but heartened to know that so many of your compatriots are there for you, as am I.
However, keep the faith and know that this too shall pass!
May the wind be at your back……..
Much love!!!!
As a cancer survivor myself, I send you all the good vibes and thoughts on this treatment and shall include you in my thoughts.
Best of luck Jane – keep fighting. You will be in my thoughts and prayers . . . and hurry back!!
Jane – my thoughts and prayers are with you during these challenging times. We are with you!
Just to add to the chorus: Longtime lurker here, uncloaking long enough to wish you the very best, Jane.
You’re a fighter, that much is clear. Therefore, I will NOT be worried about you… just sending good thoughts your way.
A heart is judged not by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.
–some bigwig in Emerald City
Dear Jane,
Wishing you all the strength and peace you need to fight this most important fight! Sedona Az. is said to be rampant with good juju, so I’ll go out now to gather some up & send to you….get well soon!
With love, Cynthia
Hey now!
Just heard the news and had to come on by and send some good vibes your way, Jane. With this big ol’ crowd of folks in your corner, you’re gonna beat this sucker just fine.
And, odd as it may sound, don’t forget to (whenever possible) laugh long, loudly, and lustily. I’m not sure exactly why it works to help the body heal and balance itself, but it does.
Healing vibes coming atcha from the Windy City. Get well soon, Jane!
Patrick
Best wishes, Jane, and get well soon.
I’m sending you wishes for your health a speedy recovery.
My mother had a radical mastectomy back in the early 1960s, and is still alive today (albeit with Alzheimer’s, but that’s a different issue). My wife is also a survivor (6 years and counting).
My thoughts and prayers (to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, if necessary) are with you. Be strong, and come back soon.
Heya Jane – just wanted to wish you the best of luck and thank the crap out of you for all you do on and off this blog. FDL and the Pups have really been a bright spot of intelligence, snark and comaraderie in a pretty dismal period in my own life. Hope you’re up and about soon and giving them hell, brightening up things on Olberman’s show and others, etc etc.
You’re really something else and we love you!
Sending thoughts and prayers… extras tomorrow for you and your excellent medical team!!
Jane,
I am so sad about this. Even though I am a habitual lurker, I feel like FDL is my blog home. I came to FDL for your coverage of the Plame affair. No matter were I go around the blogosphere, I always come back to FDL to get it’s take on issues.
I watched YearlyKos on a web feed last year. I’ll always remember a panel you were on (”bloggers gone wild” I think). The other panelists were men and there initial comments seemed a little testosterone driven. At one point the moderator asked “So Jane why are you here?” and without missing a beat you said “I’m the girl.” I laughed out loud. Of course your presence had nothing to do with tokenism, that’s not what your comment meant to me. It spoke to the differences in style and substance that a powerful female voice brings to the table and I think that is how you meant it to sound. That’s why I love this blog. It gives voice to women and men whether they are straight or gay. It’s the world I want to live in. Thanks for creating a piece of it here.
My hopes and prayers are with you. Best wishes through this.
–Ellen
Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a swift kick in the ass to cancer: “Begone, vile beast cancer! Don’t you know we have presidents to hold accountable? Now leave this woman and do not return!”
You Jane.
Beat cancer.
Love Tarzan.
Visualize impeachment. Visualize the blog post you will write on that day. I am so looking forward to seeing you share the joy of that victory!
Know the great power that your thoughts and words have to stir the fight in those of us out here who otherwise would be voiceless… and know the great good that your words have already done.
Eddy
Best of luck! We’ll be holding our breath until you’re back. I wish I had your strength.
God bless and good luck… the crew from Bring It On have you in our thoughts.
