Do you guys realize how much doctors are lying these days? They have no clue if you have a virus or bacteria without doing lab testing. Please remember that anything else is purely judgement. Speaking of judgement in a doctor;s office… don’t think you will ever be diagnosed with bioterrorism. Doctors don’t know the symptoms. They are trained to ignore them.
Think Lyme Disease, a zoonotic illness caused by a spirochete. * Ding dong… tuskegee calling* but doctors stand by the fact that 60 days of meds cure it, if you can get it diagnosed. Doctors do not believe DNA PCR tests for Borrelia, the causative agent of Lyme Disease. Doctors also support the idea that humans have psychosomatic en masse complaints post treatment. Do not bother to think it impossible for a 10 year old in California to have the same complaints as a 66 year old lady in Connecticut because the Infectious Disease Society of America believes these people are psychosomatic and have no problems. They are cured because the Infectious Disease Society SAID SO>
so again, Lyme being a zoonotic agent, symptoms being ignored, new docs being trained to ignore symptoms, bioterrorism coming from zoonotic agents……..
who is kidding who here……..

you say you got a cold???????

EHB seems to help if you take it early and often. I like the list, but you did not include the one that I always think of: Mudhoney’s “touch me I’m sick”.

If you are so willing, those of us that use Rhapsody would appreciate some one click goodness as well. It’s really easy.

Oscillococcinum. Don’t you think it would sell better if it were called ‘WiggleTails’?

It apparently sells very well, probably because its name sounds very scientific. Here’s how it is made:

Since 1925, Oscillococcinum has been prepared as follows. Into a one litre bottle, a mixture of pancreatic juice and glucose is poured. Next a Canard de Barbarie is decapitated and 35 grams of its liver and 15 grams of its heart are put into the bottle. Why liver? Doctor Roy writes: “The Ancients considered the liver as the seat of suffering, even more important than the heart, which is a very profound insight, because it is on the level of the liver that the pathological modifications of the blood happen, and also there the quality of the energy of our heart muscle changes in a durable manner.” Maybe the French tendency to call any form of not well-being a “crise de foie” (”bilious attack”) had also something to do with it. After 40 days in the sterile bottle, liver and heart autolyse (disintegrate) into a kind of goo, which is then “potentized” with the Korsakov method.

Pretty fucking gross, huh? And you drank that stuff? Yuk!

OTOH it is really not as bad as it sounds, due to the Korsakov method mentioned at the end.

The Korsakov method is a quick-and-dirty method of extreme dilution, in which the liquid is poured into a glass container and then poured out so that only a tiny bit is left clinging to the inside of the container. Pure water is then added, the container shaken, and the contents poured out, so that only the tiny bit left clinging to the inside of the container is left.

Pure water is then added, the container shaken, and the contents poured out, so that only the tiny bit left clinging to the inside of the container is left.

.
.
.

The above happens *two hundred times* for the oscillococinum that you buy at the store and is labelled 200CK, which means 200 dilutions by a factor of 100 each by the Korsakov method (it is assumed that each dilution by the Korsakov method achieves a dilution factor of 100).

This means that the dilution factor is 10 to the 2000 power*!!!!!*. There are not that many atoms in the entire universe, so there should be no danger (or any other effect) from the noxious mess that they started with.

Wish I could sell, literally, something for nothing. :-)

I realize that I’m terminally EPU’d, but I just want to suggest that it may be allergies, not infections. Given the fact that the climate is changing EVERYWHERE and new plants/molds are moving in and the ones that are already there are blooming/producing spores at earlier/different times this is something to seriously consider. I work for tertiary ENT specialists, one of whom is an ENT allergy specialist, and lots of patients who come in convinced they have a sinus infection have either an allergy exacerbation or a new onset allergy. Consider looking up an ENT who does allergy work and getting tested. Down here in Savannah we’re seeing a MAJOR change in allergies. Just a thought…

Does WEMU (wemu.org) lurk here? Just had “Stormy Weather” (was that Phoebe Snow?!), and now a nice-sounding thing with the refrain “It’s Gonna Rain Down Here—You’ll Need a Shelter Somewhere.” More when I get the details.

My chiropractor gave me some rad-tox last visit (about 6 weeks ago). That’s short for radiation toxicity.

He said he can always tell by his patients’ complaints and weaknesses when there has been a leak or test.

Thanks for another wonderful post.

Haven’t pulled Social Distortion off the shelf for a while but your list sent me down another memory lane to a time — during the first Bush recession — when I just about never bothered returning them to the shelf.

I don’t think Mike Ness has ever sung a boring or disengaged line in his career. Not only that, he does the best cover of June Carter’s & (Merle Kilgore’s)

EPUd, but I live in L.A. too — here’s another idea, if you’re also tired a lot more than usual and getting lots of colds, could be there’s a semi-harmless parasite that’s running down your immune system. (Eat out a lot? Had food poisoning in the last year or so?) Turns out there are a lot of bad tummy bugs that used to be considered harmless but maybe aren’t so harmless after all (like H. Pylori causes ulcers, other bugs may cause immune problems). Get yourself tested, and/or try a holistic parasite cleanse (wormwood, oil of clove, etc.). Also, taking digestive enzymes when you’re trying to cleanse helps break down the resistance of some of the bad bugs. And oil of oregano boosts the immune system.
