You guys don’t get it! All Junior was doing by invading Iraq was “keeping the string intact”. The string being….well look at it this way;
Johnson/Nixon invading Vietnam using the Gulf Of Tonkin lie as reason. Ford equipped the Indonesian Gov’t with arms to massacre 1/3 the East Timor population. Ronnie Reagan invaded Grenada and the Bush Sr. invaded both Panama and Iraq. Bubba has his invasion of Haiti.
Numbnuts was just following the rest of the clowns as they hone US foreign policy and be a good neigbour.
You wonder why “America” (oops, let’s not include Canada in our dirty work)I mean the US is looking pretty dim in the eyes of the world.

Oh, and as far as the attached photo of Barney and Bush, Barney has Bush eating out of his hairy paw.

Hey, Barney is the Canine-in-Chief, isn’t he? Or maybe Mutt-in-Chief? Mongrel-in-Chief?

Uh, well, or maybe I’m confusing Barney with Bush?

Whatever.

To a warmonger, the only “way forward,” no matter whether “new” or not, is to create more wars or expand the one already being fought.

Scott Ritter emphatically states that BushCo is getting ready to bomb Iran. I agree with him.

Just as BushCo blew off Afghanistan in 2002 to shift troops and materials to Kuwait in preparation for their long-planned attack on Iraq, BushCo is presently shifting their focus (no matter what they say) from Iraq to a long-planned attack on Iran.

Thus, from BushCo (and their lackeys like Lieberman) calling for additional troops in Iraq and Kuwait (more than likely for “force protection” duties in case the Iranians (or their Iraqi proxies) counter-attack after Iran is attacked) to BushCo’s massive naval buildup in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, we have signs of BushCo’s plans.

Plus, no one is mentioning the massive buildup by BushCo of U.S. forces, as well as amphibious assault craft, mine sweepers, stealth fighters and stealth bombers, in the Arab emirates lining the Saudi side of the Persian Gulf, especially in proximity to the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, these Arab emirates have been rewarded by BushCo with sweetheart trade deals as reciprocation for their letting BushCo turn their countries into “staging areas” for whatever BushCo has planned regarding Iran.

Therefore, the incoming Democratic-controlled Congress should make their first order of business next week the passing of a law reaffirming the constitutional authority of the U.S. Congress regarding war declarations…with forceful language included telling BushCo that they HAVE to get congressional approval before launching any attack on Iran…especially after any “Gulf of Tonkin”-type incident BushCo might orchestrate in the Persian Gulf in the next month or so, after which BushCo would instantly blame Iran, whether Iran had anything to do with it or not.

I repeat, this legislation should be the first order of business addressed by the incoming Democratic majority in Congress. All other issues pale in comparison to what an attack on Iran would cause.

Plus, even though Bush and Cheney would veto whatever anti-Iran War legislation the Democratic-controlled Congress sent them, We The People would know the one’s responsible for plunging our nation even deeper into the BushCo hellstrom they’ve created in the Middle East.

Dear scarecrow,

That has always pissed me royally off, his condescention and insistance that we don’t “unnerstan’”. Thanks for putting it so eloquently.

Yours in America,

Mommybrain

Ps Maybe Barney has a better plan.

Luv the post scarecrow, but my theory is that they know precisely what they’re doing.

It’s a Bushian Dialectic

Just a theory, your mileage may vary ;-)

How many times has this President lectured us with those words to remind us of our ignorance and our inability to grasp what’s important?

You mean you actually listen to that asshole?

Well, I guess somebody has to. I always figured that was Laura’s job.

Brel1 - I had a similar thought about Bushie-Baby while watching him at The Kennedy Center Awards: He looked so uncomfortable because he was in a tough crowd - face it, he’d rather be in some religious revival gathering! What does he have in common with artists and entertainers? “Bush” and “culture” do not rhyme; try “Bush” and “Religious Right Fanaticism”.
