Re the Murdach-Regan war I have to bet on Rupert with his unimaginably deep pockets. Judy is a “salaried rich” person, i.e., as long as they pay her, she rich and they stopped paying. He’s got the cash and a big team of experienced lawyers and she’s got squat.

Last Thursday WFAN Mike/MadDog were ALL OVER some ‘fictionalized memoir’ of Mickey Mantle which included the Mick in an affaire w/Marilyn Monroe. They were outraged. And noting it was the same publisher as the retracted O.J. book. I wonder if that had anything to do with Regan’s pink slip?

My guess is that the Pink Slip was just a face saver for Rupert & Roger Ailes. The OJ TV special generated unprecented bad publicity for the Fox TV network. A torrent of mail from viewers threatening to boycott the entire network.

Ailes runs the network. He had to have approved that special. And he must have convinced Rupert to pony up the multi-million dollar payday for OJ. Regan could not have done this on her own.

In this case, she’s just a scapegoat.
