I’m thinking that all this economic populism and anti-corporatism plays into the hands of a Preznitial candidate who’s talked about Two Americas, or One America, for a while. The cute one, on The Daily Show last night, with the handsome, wholesome family and the dimples. And the accent.

Edwards is an empty suit who obeyed when the Dems said don’t help Lamont. Obama is a suck up. Webb is a principled independent and his populism is right up my alley.

Remember Arthur Schlessinger Jr’s “The Vital Center.”

It was the liberal consensus of the day. And those were great days.

The Republicans will crack under the pressure of Speaker Pelosi inspired investigations and ‘oversight’. Democrats and honest politicians win.

The longer Bush keeps us in Iraq the more the public will hate him AND anyone who supports him. Lieberman and some DLC/pro-war Dems will not be popular. Progressive anti-Iraq-war politicians win.

As the Netroots becomes more familiar with handling campaigns and campaign financing the Progressive candidates will have more funding and support. Progressives win.

There are not similar shifts in favor of DLC Dems or Republicans.

Either one would be a disaster for the Dem party. Neither could win the Presidency.

Agreed. Either one could win the nomination, though. Which is what worries me.

We need to make life tough on Lieberman. Tough as tough can be.

If I were Harry Reid, I’d make Joe Lieberman my point man on reforming Medicare Part D, and devil take the hindmost. AARP will call RGJoe out against his insurance/pharma enablers, who’ll eat him alive if he deviates from what they bought on 11/7.

Might make L4Life at home hell, too!
