That’s not how you used the term “loser” Jane.

And now you are a post-election prognosticator on IL-06 by saying Duckworth was never going to win. That’s pretty insightful one week after the election.

If Howard’s 50 state strategy was so successful and Rahm’s misplaced, how come the Dems took three Congressional seats in IN but lost every statewide office. It seems like the House candidates had the money & organization and the state candidates didn’t get enough lift from the Dean operation.

Ms. Duckworth lost her race, ’tis true; but, she is no loser.

She may be a lovely human being but she was never going to win that race and that was what the post was about, nothing more and nothing less. Propping up straw men is so very Hannityish.

Wow Jane,, you are on a real roll here. Yesterday peddling some trash story about Obama and now calling Tammy Duckworth a loser. Tammy just celebrated her “I’m Alive 4 year anniversary Sunday.” I bet Tammy may have a different perspective on winners and losers.

Murtha back-pedals on clarifies “ethics reform is total crap” statement:

With one eye on the coveted House Majority Leader spot and another on reports he recently called an ethics reform effort “total crap,” Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) took to Hardball tonight to say his piece.

“What I said was, it’s total crap, the idea we have to deal with an issue like this, when. . . we’ve got a war going on and we got all these other issues,” Murtha told host Chris Matthews.

A Roll Call article today quoted Murtha saying of a Democratic ethics reform package, “Even though I think it’s total crap, I’ll vote for it and pass it because that’s what Nancy wants.”

What Murtha fails to appreciate here is that the issues at hand are not Iraq or corruption. It’s all of a piece. Bush started this as a war for the corrupt, run by the corrupt, and in the service of their corruption.

This is the same reason I grimaced last week at the “GOP lost because of corruption, not the war” meme. You can’t pull one of these strings without finding the other.
