Bush cabinet member Paul O’Neill, one of the few bold insiders to speak out about the Bush train wreck..even though he was quickly shut down.

Of course Ned Lamont.

Dr. Howard Dean, our spiritual leader with cast iron nuggets.

Grandma Nancy who withstood an 11th smear campaign.

Bill Clinton for rallying the troops at the very right moment.

Keith Olbermann, a man who’s time has come.

The netroots with a hat tip to Jane and Christy –so full of wit and verve and some well placed piss and vinegar.

Michael J. Fox for his passion and humanity.

Jack Murtha who knew when to say enough.

The generals who backed up Jack.

Wes Clark and John Edwards for being great friends and campaigners.

Not to mention the other side.

Rove for getting out the evangelical vote that bailed by 30% in favor of Dems.

Rush Limbaugh for showing how lonely and ugly the one party elites had become.

I know he lost some popularity with many after the right-wing echo chamber. He is going to go back to the Senate with all the Liebermann toads gunning for him.

Paul Hodes — A real old time liberal and Carol Shea-Porter –A real modern era progressive ousted Republican Bass and Bradley to make NH a largely blue state.

Democrats also took control of less glamorous local level offices like the governor’s council—these are the people that are in a position to watch precinct level politics and vote counting. Kerry worked tirelessly for these people.

So anyway he got horrible treatment in the MSM these past couple weeks but he still yeoman work to get Dems elected

Just listened to Al Franken. He had on Tom Hamburger of the LA Times and author of One Party Country: The Republican Plan for Dominance in the 21st Century. [Sales sure to go up after yesterday’s results.]

“Hamburger” mouthed what to me will be the Dem DC Insiders’ take: that Dems can credit all the wins to Rahm because he “forced them to run candidates who are from the middle [rather than the progressives they’d like to run”].

Just my prognostication that we’ll be seeing this in the days to come. Hope my ability to predict the future is better than Hamburger’s.

THIS time it was actually pleasant to be a volunteer. i’m going to do a lot more grassroots work and i’m going to encourage my friends. Before my experience with this election cycle i never wanted to get my friends involved for fear of turning them off to political volunteering altogether.

i gather a lot of this is the good work of Mr. Dean. Odds are he won’t see this posting of mine, but i’m SO SORRY I DIDN’T SUPPORT HIM AND WORK FOR HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.

Sir i was wrong. Good job and congrats to all of you who did the heavy lifting from this obscure suburbanite who worked the fones in Phoenix!!!!

What was done is HUGE!!!!!
We Have control of the House.
We have effectively tied Bush’s hands.
There are enough Re-pubs who would vote with us on many things.
Even if ALLEN and Crist win, they are facing enough serious legal fall-out from various scandals, that they will not be an issue.
The Republicans know ‘We the People’ are not happy with their performance.
The Democrats know that this result is less about their ideas for change than a complete repudiation of Bush and Co, so they all know that we will be paying far more attention to their actions now that they have been given this opportunity to walk the walk…
So, Everyone take a breath, a bow and enjoy the moment…
Tomorrow we can continue the push for Impeachment, Investigation of ALL of Mr Bush and Co’s connections/actions re; 9/11, Iraq e.t.c. and watch as they all spin and try and find lawyers etc :)

Now the fight to get recognition and credit for the progressives begins. Rahm is very good at spinning the traditional media (can you believe those morons still care what DeLay thinks?!?!) so it will be important for the progressives to keep together with a very clear and well-communicated message. I notice Dr. Dean stayed off the stage last night. I hope that means he was already strategizing as to how we can keep the public from swallowing the meme that “conservative Democrats” won the day.
