Relatedly: It was rather funny last night to get some mojo from local labor folks. They’d been resistent about the approach that we newer activists with blogger chops brought to the table. One guy admitted that labor in our area came late to the table and unprepared, admitted that our 24/7/365 approach with frequent outreach to voters from grassroots was highly effective, combined with our internet-mediated communications efforts.

Groovy. I suspect I’m soon going to be hosting training sessions for labor folks: Blogging and Activism 101.

Good stuff. Maybe the next Ben “Rivethead” Hamper will emerge from that effort. Can hardly wait to see a beefy, blogging UAW guy get torqued off about being dissed by concern trolling pundits.

Damn, I’m still p*ssed off about that trolling.

You know, the most conservative Democratic candidate we had here didn’t win.

Voters couldn’t see a lot of difference between him and the Repug he was up against.

Most of the candidates to the left of center WON — and in local races, it wasn’t about the war.

Oh, don’t let him rayne on your parade. Take it with a grain of salt. But, we can learn something too. Are these roots big enough to hold all liberal, progressive ideas? How big is this tree gonna get. Where do we put the fundamentalists when they realize that ‘truth’ is a useful part of a righteous approach to life, as well as politics.

They can have their own blog. We can always cross-post. (grumbling to herself)

The husband(registered Republican) and I were talking about the effect the netroots had on this election and he observed that the established Democrats had better step carefully and not become complacent because the same groups which put them in charge of the Congress could just as quickly pull their support if the Congressional Democrats get out of line or don’t live up to expectations.

Sure, the netroots people are handy to have around but to give credit when credit is due? We’re like the black sheep of the family, unmentioned if at all possible and not invited to the big parties.

Well, I’ll gladly skip the parties if it means we can keep the country running properly.

Okay guys, all 40-odd House, Senate, and gubanatorial candidates elected yesterday are all rabid left-wingers. Moreover, none of them would have been elected except for the efforts of the netroots. And everyone who tries to point out that the entire Democratic Party at large may have had something to do with it is not only wrong, but a troll. That’s your reality. Dwell in it. Let me know how it works out for you. Tootles to you.

That is a dumb as saying that the election results were some affirmation of conservative values too.

TR 109 — you know, there’s a common misconception we need to straighten out. It’s not unlike the misconception that government is somehow separate from the people. (A government of, by and for the people — we’ve forgotten that bit.)

The truth is this:

NETROOTS = GRASSROOTS with internet access

GRASSROOTS = RANK-AND-FILE DEM PARTY MEMBERS

Example 1: Me.

Blogger, elected minor party official, Dem organization officer. All roles I hold.

Example 2: Marcy Wheeler

Ditto for Marcy, a blogger, party member and official.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Marcy and I are reasons why Lanny Davis needs a steaming cup of STFU; he’s another concern troll without a clue.

Since I don’t know who Lanny Davis is, I’ll have to take your word for it.

And are you of the opinion I’m a concern troll simply because I expressed an opinion? If so, you misinterpreted my words.
