CNN is reporting Webb just edged ahead as votes in Richmond came in. Webb has 1,141,052 votes to Allen's 1,138,676 with 99% precincts in.
This will go to a recount for sure, so we won't have this finalized and official for a while. But we may just get this one done. With things looking good in Montana and with a good result in Missouri, we could run the table in the Senate late. Stay tuned.
Oh, and repeat after me: SPEAKER PELOSI!
Watch the big media spin all of this as a victory for conservatives. Smell the fear of the DC/K Street Elites.
UPDATE: CNN just called TN for Corker (R) over Ford (TN for Ford D).

Webb will win. The outstanding towns to report are polling 75-25 in favor of Webb.
What’s all this I keep hearing about a nude erection for America?
Of course CNN is reporting it, so MSNBC started using the same numbers, when in reality:

Yay Leader Pelosi!
I guess my 41 House bet was a wee bit much, but it makes me more determined to give more and do more next time around.
Well, the DC Dems didn’t want Dean as their Presidential candidate, even though he was the front runner in the primaries; they wanted Kerry. And in the end they made sure that they got Kerry, one way or the other…Now they decided they didn’t want Ned, even though he won the primary; they wanted Joe Lonesome…and they made damned sure they got him.
The good part is that no matter how hard they tried, Dr. Dean kept coming back and beating them at their own game, much to their increasing heartbutn. Same with Ned, I’m sure. Same with all of the bloggers and the netroots activists, and the grassroots. They’d love us to all go away now and let them do their little shell game.
Aint. Gonna. Happen.
by the way, I voted a straight Dem ticket today…oh, wait, I didn’t vote for Hillary! Gasp!

Smelling like it, to me.
Folks, Webb was within striking distance (3K deficit), surging, midway through the night, then there was a huge influx of votes for Allen at about 9.45, EST that put him up 25K. In 2 minutes, the whole thing changed.
So how long before they proclaim this was all a “referendum to stay the course in Iraq”??? Just watch…*LOL*
Does Webb have a legal defense/recount donation site up and running yet?
Senator Web kicked Ex-Sen macaca out.
Now we should declare victory and bus in our “protesters” to bang on the windows while they do a recount.

Yes suh, went with the Pyrat. Damn tasty rum. Bevmo is five blocks away so it was an easy trip. Haven’t mixed it with anything, I’m drinking it straight. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.
I know there are those who won’t agree, but the Democratic party needs to be purged of ALL PRO-WAR peple.
Barbara Boxer is pro-war. Russ Feingold is pro-war (if you support Lieberman, even if it’s by NOT supporting Ned, you are PRO-WAR). Every single Dem who did not give full-throated support for Ned Lamont needs to be expelled from the party. Leave not a single traitor in our midst.
Most dems are pro-war. Kerry came out to support Ned. Wes Clark suppported Ned. Anybody who didn’t should be a target and attacked from every possible side.
As much as I hate repukes, I’d rather have a repuke I could trust to be a felonious asshole than a self-described Dem who betrayed us. At least with the repuke, you know where they stand.

Hi fives for LJ/Aquaria, ROb, Cliff, and the rest of the FDL’ers!!!
And a fat high five to Webb!
This Webb/Allen race was the one to really pull the rug out from under the good ol’ boy network of “southern strategy” repub’s. GO WEBB! That, with a defeat of Burns to cap off the senate races will give this huge victory for dem’s and progressives true momentum. It would be nice to have McCaskill too, but that’s not looking likely. Ford in TN is not really a progressive, and kind strikes me as an “undead” zombie, with a cold eye and calculating manner of speech that creeps me out. I think we’ll do just fine without him, thank you very much! Great work everybody!
I remain calm. But I do not promise to remain calm, if I feel that our vote has been stolen.
LJ/Aquaria @ 51
Joseph Cannon over at
www.cannonfire.blogspot.com/
had this to say earlier this evening:
“As I write, in Virigina the exit polls have Webb ahead of Allen, 52-47 — a five point difference. Yet Allen is ahead of Webb by half a percentage point with 85% of the precincts reporting.
It may be that a decision was made — to keep the real vote fraud relegated to one key state. If Virginia stays red, and if Joe turns, the Republicans have the Senate.”
Why do the talking heads think that Bush will “negotiate” now? This guy is the king of the signing statements…remember those? I see one big constitutional crisis coming as asshat continues to do what he wants, and some of the dems who are promising oversite call him on it. Wonder how John Roberts court will vote. Hmmm…well the house and the senate are a start. Candidates will start trouping to Iowa and New Hampshire in a couple of weeks.

Russ is pro-war? I thought he was speaking pretty harshly against this administration not that long ago. Still, he didn’t show up for Ned. The Democratic status quo needs to answer for that. They really do. It doesn’t need to be rabid, but it should be constant and gradually debilitating when attempted to be ignored; kinda like a hangnail that turns gangrenous.
I went to Dr. Victoria Wulsin’s victory party tonight. One of her opponents, the Republican write-in candidate was there. He said he hoped enought people voted for him to take votes against Mean Jean Schmidt so Wulsin will win. He said he respects Wulsin for her integrity, dedication and honesty and feels she will make a wonderful elected representative. This from her Republican opponent!
