CNN is calling NJ for Menendez, Ohio for Brown and Pennsylvania for Casey.
Harold Ford, the hand-picked Chuck Schumer candidate running in Tennessee, is getting his ass kicked. I guess that Newsweek cover talking about the triumph of the New Conservative Democrat was a bit premature.

Scarborough and Matthews are arguing.

Four more to go, motherfuckers.
I, for one, am NOT happy that Ford is getting his ass kicked.
Senator Lamont. That is.
Scarborough V. Matthews
You can’t write this stuff!
Tweety is such a pipsqueak, it’s a damn disgrace.

Nobody is happy that Ford is getting his ass kicked, but he was a bad candidate.
top-of-thread courtesy reminder:
1. let’s try to avoid looming ziggurats (i.e. don’t requote a comment more than once or twice - remove blockquotes if necessary - this helps the toobz)
2. do not quote a troll, ’cause then it gets perpetuated and can’t be scrubbed. in fact, ignore trolls…if any show up
3. Go Ned!
Looks like he’s down for The Count

Something MUST be in the air, they’re talking about Bill Clinton ADMIRINGLY (and mention an extremity too, but not the one you’d expect)
Considering how easily Rickie andWine folded, I am pissed we weren’t permitted to run progressives.
But sweeeeeeeet anyway.
I do not like Schumer.

I’m not happy about it either, but Ford was one of the “Democrats” who wanted to help Bush dismantle Social Security.
So if any Democrats have to lose I’d rather it be ones like Ford and Lieberman.

Here in Minnesota the local TV station picked Klobuchar (Democrat) over Mark Kennedy (Republican). This is to replace Democrat Mark Dayton, so it is a seat that we are keeping. (Kobuchar was way ahead the last few weeks).
Mike Hatch (Democrat) is leading over incumbant Republican but it is not yet called.

Anyone who says “god” or “jesus” out loud more than once a day except in anger is a bad candidate. I am just sorry we are missing such a fabulous pick-up opportunity.
The really good news I figured out today is –
Out of the 33 Senate seats up in 2008 21 will be republicans trying to defend.

Harold Ford, the hand-picked Chuck Schumer candidate running in Tennessee, is getting his ass kicked.
Taylor made some interesting observations about him Saturday. In general, she’s been more supportive than I’d be inclined to. Any Democrat who feels the need to put the Ten Commandments on the back of his business card would get me to wondering “Who are the Greens running this year?”:

NPR calls it for Lieberman . . .
The News Hour ran a clip of the “Ned Lamont makes bad coffee” ad — if that was the kind of cutesy crap Lamont was running in the general, it’s obvious why he lost.
NECN (New England Cable News) has also called CT for Lieberman. I’m really, really, reeeeeelly hoping all of these calls are premature.

I’ve held my tongue but I’ll say it now: Lamont wasn’t up to the challenge of running a campaign to win the general election, and his decision to stop campaigning after the primary was his fatal error.
Too bad.
What happens if FEC finds Joe bought votes in the Primary?

Hey Firepups!
Just checking in. I am completely in the dark right now. I developed severe stomach cramps on a mountain bike ride today…very bad. I voted against Orrin Hatch today. Felt good. Not that he is going to lose. Voting in Utah is difficult.
Go Dems!
Tweety’s two-bit bully. I look forward to his being found dead in a Boston motel with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, a crack pipe and a tweaked out hustler.
Clean up on aisle 117 please
Somebody needs to ask Lieberman now, before all the results are in and we know who controls the Senate–ask now who he’s going to caucus with. Pin him down before we know the balance.

This would be the move.
Excuse me for expressing my opinion, JC. Didn’t mean to get in the way of group think.
But Lamont was way too cutesy. The “ned lamont goes to WA” commercial was horrible in tone.
He didn’t have the killer instinct for Lieberman either.
