Well, PERSONALLY I be an Anarchist {Arhhh!} But, of course this means that I side with the Dem(s) 90% of the time. How ever my girl betrayed the SCARED Cause she voted for Chaffeee (Arhhh!) So, I personalized Bill Clintons comment for her “How will YOU feel IF WE win five other seats and WE fail to gain control because of Rhode Island!” It is well after noon and not advanced Poll data is out being blockedwithheld. However, I am recording two news channels and the C-Span evening coverage — and NBC and the Daily Show… So that WHEN the theft happens THIS time, I will edit it together into a lovely video. Well, let’s hope it doesn’t… However, I fear that luck has little to do with it.

Jean’s got nothing to worry about…….Kenny Boy Blackwell will come to her rescue like he did for Bushco…………. Here’s the deal:

Ken Blackwell Outsources Ohio Election Results to GOP Internet Operatives, Again

http://scoop.epluribusmedia.or.....115314/922

“As the last ballots are cast tonight, Ohioans will confidently track realtime results using voting equipment and Internet reporting systems that Ken Blackwell built to replace the horrors of hanging chads. Will the electorate choke to find that the architect of Ohio’s Election Night Results Dashboard is an RNC technology strategist and the political intimate of the Bush Dynasty since the 80s? Will a Strickland voter simply resolve to swallow harder on discovering that his realtime election returns may be shipped to his desktop from the GOP Internet operations center in Chattanooga rather than the Ohio OARnet IT servers in Columbus?”

We only had paper ballots where I voted this morning. Thank goodness for small New England towns and their healthy aversion to new-fangled technology. Well, either that or we were too cheap to go buy a set of Diebold ballot miscounters. ;)

crank @
52

Christy, anything that makes Jean unhappy has the opposite effect on me, but don’t enjoy this too much: “Election machine problems are no joke — and being able to show evidence that this sort of thing can happen to anyone, even a member of Congress? Priceless!”

The Republicans are planning to dispute results they don’t like, and part of the groundwork for their challenges involves calling the voting machines into question. If they can’t steal the vote by suppression and election-day shenanigans, expect to see goons and lawyers wherever the Democrats have a close victory. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Republicans also have a list of more pliable judges.

Why would the Republicans raise questions about one of their favorite vote-stealing tools? Because they (or is it just Bush and Rove?) believe that wherever the vote is in dispute, they can win.

Agreed. If they can contest a result they don’t like it gives them a chance for a do-over with judges. Judges whom they may own. Anyone know if this election contesting stuff is eligible for trial by jury?

Paper or Diebold: what the RNC Chair picked
I stood directly behind RNC Chair Ken Mehlman at my Capitol Hill polling place this morning. When asked by a poll worker to pick between one of DC’s new electronic voting machines and a traditional paper and pencil ballot, Mr. Mehlman chose the latter. He was looking a tad grim, by the way.

Machines ask for a “Supervisor card” - nobody at precinct has them. Poll workers don’t know what to do…

The password is “1111.” Tell them to push the yellow button on the back and vote as many times as they want!

No doubt…. Apparently this was widespread across that whole county. Took them two hours to get the machines running. Nobody was ever offered provisional ballots - just turned away from the polling site.

Just heard from a work associate who voted this morning in NY-20, home to Kirsten Gillibrand.

She and her husband arrived around 6:50. There were about 60 people there, with more pouring in as they left. They live in a rural corner of the district, “where there are more cows than people.” She was highly encouraged.
