Polls are closed in both states and counting has commenced. In KY-03 (Louisville) it's neck and neck between John Yarmuth and Anne Northup — 64% of votes counted and progressive Democrat Yarmuth is up by about 1% over the rubber stamp.

Indiana results are starting to trickle in but the only district with anything significant is "the bloody 8th," where Sherrif Brad Ellsworth has started off with a healthy lead over incumbent wing-nut John Hostettler. With 14% of precincts reporting, Brad's got 70% of the vote.

(Update:  5:00 pm PT — with 78.4% reporting:  John Yarmuth D 94,401 50.4%, Anne M. Northup R 90,691 48.4%.  As Jeff Greenfield just mentioned on CNN, the progressive Yarmuth was not a Rahm Emmanuel candidate – JH).
