Polls are closed in both states and counting has commenced. In KY-03 (Louisville) it's neck and neck between John Yarmuth and Anne Northup -- 64% of votes counted and progressive Democrat Yarmuth is up by about 1% over the rubber stamp.
Indiana results are starting to trickle in but the only district with anything significant is "the bloody 8th," where Sherrif Brad Ellsworth has started off with a healthy lead over incumbent wing-nut John Hostettler. With 14% of precincts reporting, Brad's got 70% of the vote.
(Update: 5:00 pm PT -- with 78.4% reporting: John Yarmuth D 94,401 50.4%, Anne M. Northup R 90,691 48.4%. As Jeff Greenfield just mentioned on CNN, the progressive Yarmuth was not a Rahm Emmanuel candidate - JH).

Hi e…
I’m pretty sure that ReddHedd is smiling in the picture below because TRex is groping her under the table. He’s got that smug therapod “playa” smirk on his face!
Houseguess: that would be like what things look like if I don’t pick up after myself because of
permanent lazinessthe elections.Sooo, it slowly sinks in, no edit function. Ok, as long as you love me as much as you love looseheadprop.
Did everyone hear CNN’s exit polling about issues driving voters? Corruption at 40 percent, beating Iraq? We got them coming and going.
wow!

Hi Vachon, how are you?
I have to wonder if Karl Rove is busy tonight changing George Bush’s diapers. I feel good.

We’re drinking Bombay Sapphire to celebrate Karmageddon. Because it’s good, and because it’s blue, of course! Will check back in later.
High turnout and corruption as top issue sounds good to me.
What’s the deal with Allen’s early numbers? Are those just the wingnut-heavy districts?

I really believe Bush will be sweating tonight, right around the forehead
if we can actually pull this off, i expect a resignation from cheney for ‘health reasons”, mccain to take his place, a bush pre pardon for cheney
then Bush resigns, mccain to pre pardon bush
that’s my story and i’m stickin to it

Gregory says on MSNBC that Rove is giving the boy (the president) play by play. And trying to rally the troops. I feel just fine. Minimum of 30 House seats; minimum of six Senate seats.
Yarmuth in KY is looking great.
TPMs numbers do not agree with CNNs for the VA Senate race.

Leslie just reported 55% for Felix, when a moment ago it was 51% for Webb. Where is he getting his numbers? Dick Wadhams??? grrrr
Webb Allen numbers have taken a bizarre turn for the worst - is there some big blob of scary gated-exurbia cluster of precincts that means this is just a blip?

no lamont update yet?
EPU’d, perhaps:
These might have been mentioned earlier, but here are a couple of links to look at. The first is the Swing State Projects map showing when the polls close in each state:

I just wanted to add about “corruption,” in addition to K Street, and Katrina, and faulty armor, it’s about what they tried to do to Ambassador Wilson and Valerie.

‘Twasn’t a mess-up at TPM, same was up at C-SPAN.
.
http://www.dccc.org/results/index.html is Democratic website (run by yuck Emanuel) tracking “Top Races to Watch.” Guess what. He only considers 18 House races to be top ones to watch.
Does that mean that when we pick up 37 seats, we can point out that they are our seats, not the DCCC’s?
Oh, and Keith is on MSNBC talking about robocalls.

Hot tea with an Alka Selzer chaser. ‘Cause I’ve got cold. A’choo!
Lots of anecdotal about voting in the Denver metro being a clusterf*ck. The polling place I passed on my way home (in a fairly affluent area) had at least a hundred people in line around 4:30 this afternoon. Jay Fawcett’s office in the Springs was reportedly vandalized last night. I think it’s going to be a long night in the Centennial State.
Sherrod Brown declared winner in OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO WEBB!
GO NED!

Yarmuth was covered in of all places Haaretz. Yarmuth is Jewish and Louisville has a very vibrant Jewish community. Kentucky has a history of good progressives but they kind of get lost among the bubbas.

Okay- i think i might win the prize for the most depressing post of the evening. This link shows the early and absentee voting for my county (Collier) in Florida which shows that Katherine Harris is ahead of Nelson 55% to 43% This is where I live. :( Maybe today’s voting will change this. I sure hope so.

BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!
So far tonight people have offered some good drugs and now hot tea/Alka Selzer - I just might hang in there with you. I am not commenting much because I am just too nervous. I read and either cheer or groan.
OK Kiddo-
For your next dose, chop up that Alka, line it up and snort it. Cleans out your sinuses for a week.
Huh. Because I just posted from the same site, and it’s at 49.54 for webb right now with 27.55 reporting…

I have to compliment Virgina on their choices on this election web page. It’s clean, well laid out, and it’s a very small page to reload. Website designers, take note. This is how you do a page that’s going to experience a high hit rate for a short time.

Lou… I’m not trusting those numbers for sh!t. They’ve got Allen up over Webb by almost 20%. Something tells me the “source” for those numbers is not reliable.
