An abortion doctor plans to ask for an investigation of the state attorney general and Bill O’Reilly over comments by the Fox television host that he got information from Kansas abortion records, the doctor’s attorneys said Saturday.

Dr. George Tiller said he will ask the Kansas Supreme Court on Monday to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate and take possession of the records of 90 patients from two clinics.

During a Friday night broadcast of “The O’Reilly Factor,” the conservative host said a “source inside” told the show that Tiller performs late-term abortions when a patient is depressed, which O’Reilly deemed “executing babies.”

O’Reilly also said his show has evidence that Tiller’s clinic and another unnamed clinic have broken Kansas law by failing to report potential rapes with victims ages 10 to 15.

A series of secret U.S. war games in 1999 showed that an invasion and post-war administration of Iraq would require 400,000 troops, nearly three times the number there now.

And even then, the games showed, the country still had a chance of dissolving into chaos.

In the simulation, called Desert Crossing, 70 military, diplomatic and intelligence participants concluded the high troop levels would be needed to keep order, seal borders and take care of other security needs.

I’ve been away for a few days–and actually got to see a few political ads [conference roommate & good friend turned on the idiot box to get weather report and news headlines] in MD. I saw the ad with Michael Steele’s sister, where she says he wouldn’t cut off support for all stem cell research.

Shortly after I was married, I took a job with a smalll nonprofit, with a board president with deep pockets and crazy ideas. I was new to the field, and the job instantly became nonprofit-from-hell. And I had a horrible commute, too, a tension-filled drive that could take two hours from work to home on a Friday afternoon. I listened to Whitney Houston sing “The Greatest Love of All” every Friday afternoon to give myself hope–that I would get home in a reasonable time, that I would find a job that I could love doing work that made a difference in people’s lives, and that I wouldn’t drive my new spouse completely bonkers while I worked for that crazy woman. I worked there for six months–and went on to a good job, and several others.

WEYERS CAVE, Va.

A liberal blogger who was manhandled by supporters of Sen. George Allen this week was handcuffed by authorities and escorted from another rally Saturday after an Allen backer claimed the man pushed him to the ground.

Mike Stark told The Associated Press that sheriff’s deputies detained and released him. He was not charged.

“I’ll own this town,” Stark, a first-year University of Virginia law student, was overheard telling sheriff’s deputies as he was led away from the rally at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport.
