Good answer, Ned.
Meanwhile, Tony Snow was just on The Factor saying that John Kerry's apology was "sufficient."
Translation: We polled the tits off this pig and we were getting hammered. We wanted people to hear "Democrats hate our troops" and all they were hearing was "Iraq is a fucking mess."
But thanks to everyone who ignored that fact and gave us a leg up by spinning it for the GOP. We owe you one.
Update: Genuine netroots hero Mike Stark on Olbermann here.

That appears to be a very accurate translation, thank you for the service.
It’s beautiful in Connecticut this time of year…
Lamont will win.
Anybody see Mike Stark on Olbermann?
We LUUUVVVVV Mike Stark. He’s a good friend, an FDL contributor and a hero.
So, I guess we can now expect Clusterfuck to issue an apology to the troops, all Americans, and every person on the planet, for making the world a more dangerous place, and for wasting so many lives.
We’re waiting.
Olbermann was on fire tonight!
My new hero. Watch him on MSNBC.
1,321 DAYZ AND THE KILLIN’ GOEZ ON AND ON AND …
Citizen Janie:
As far as the corporatist shills in the Democratic Party who bailed out on John Kerry today: “Never forget!! We will NEVER forget!!”
It is time to start organizin’ for state based, web organized pressure on Democratic elected officials to get the backs of Pelosi in the House and Fiengold-Kennedy-Durbin in the Senate…the Bluemutts and Mrs. Clinton must be stopped before they even get started in January.
KEEP THE FAITH THERE ARE PLENTY OF THE BASTARDS TA KEEP US BUSY!!

He is a hero of mine! GO Mike and Webb! I LUUUVVVVV him too!
wahoowah!
Young Turks are hiring Mike Stark on Air America. That’s fantastic.

I hope someone will post an Olbermann squib, since I don’t get MSNBC.
Jane Hamsher @

Yes, it was most excellent. Felix’s thugs showed their true colors.
Mike Stark was great, Jane!
And thank you for the image that’s now in my notoriously twisted mind: some poor sow is wandering the streets of D.C., looking for its tits.
Jane Hamsher @ 9
he certainly deserves it and good on the Young Turks– speaking truth to power.
Great to see Hilary Clinton piling on Kerry, eh? Has she decided to campaign for Lieberman anytime soon?
When the heros of this era are written up, Mike Stark will be among them.
And those who want to advance themselves by Sista Soldjah-ing others?
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
KO kicked major butt, and I hope and pray C&L will have tape up.
I don’t know if it’s the same everywhere, but here in Georgia MSNBC has said that at 10:00 they will broadcast a debate between … {snicker….. snicker… giggle… laugh… GUFFAW…}
wait for it….
Katherine Harris and her opponent.
Who could ask for anything more after that KO Special Comment? Just the perfect lead-in to Jon Stewart, don’t you think???
Jane@4,
Looking forward to seeing Mike Stark tonight, soon as I’m home from work. Will try and get the clip up on YouTube soon as I can.
Translation: We polled the tits off this pig …
I read “pulled” for “polled”. ouch
Great fucking answer Ned! Yeah baby!
Keith and Stark were great too.
And Jane nailed it: “Oh, you want to talk about Iraq do you? Err, umm, Kerry’s apology is sufficient. Next topic…PLEASE!”

Riesz Fischer @ 24
I want an apology from all these wingtards who haven’t had an ounce of concern for the troops until the last two days.
Every single one of them.
Riesz Fischer @ 24
I will refer you to my reply to Kevon @ 21… And I will (gratuitously) add EWWWWWWWWWW….
Jane, I think your translation is spot on. When I heard CNN tell us that the WH “accepted” the apology, it became clear that they didn’t want this to go on. My guess is they thought there were too many reporters/pundits who were starting to ask, “well shouldn’t the President apologize for . . . ?”
The proof will be in how many of the rightwing pundits and Fox news reporters get the message and talk about something else tomorrow. My litmus will be Paula Zahn. Wolf seemed ready to let it go and talk about the real war in Iraq, but Paula tonight kept asking her panelists leading questions about Kerry. Will she get the memo?
Mike Stark was terrific. Olbermann’s special comment? Words can’t do justice. Olbermann is really letting all the bums have it. He outright, repeatedly calls Bush Stupid and a Liar. That in itself, is worth turning TV on. He also bashed McCain, Pickles, the Harold Ford ad with the playboy bunny, the attack on Mike Stark, and let’s see?
If you licked your finger and touched Keith Olbermann on the wrist, steam would rise.
We’re a non TV household (Okay my son watches Sponge Bob and Jimmy Nuetron); but for Olbermann - my son my husband the dog the cats and myself all line up rapt. This man is out of sight.
I don’t know why this strikes me as so funny, but it’s certainly giving me the giggles.

I said yesterday I bet they leave this story today. Am I making it under the wire?

Cozumel: Olbermann: Bush ‘appearing to be stupid’ about Kerry’s joke
I don’t think it was just appearances.
Norskeflamethrower says,
“As far as the corporatist shills in the Democratic Party who bailed out on John Kerry today: “Never forget!! We will NEVER forget!!””
I agree. I have expressed my reservations about Kerry and don’t know if I could ever vote for him in a presidential primary after his mistakes in 2004. But as our most recent presidential nominee he is, by tradition, the symbolic head of our party, and Democrats should STFU if they don’t agree with every word he says (besides, he was making a good point). We don’t need to repeat the Republicans’ talking points for them; they can hande that on their own.
Senator Clinton, “inappropriate” is kicking a fellow Democrat when he stumbles, and giving an assist to the Republicans. Stop it.

Counting is not the same as mutilation. There are no maimed pigs running around in the nation’s capitol.
Does Karl have tits?
I can’t wait to see if the Charlottesville police ever give Mike the information he needs to “obtain his own arrest warrants” from the magistrate. If Felix had outstanding arrest warrants in C’ville for “fishing licenses and parking tickets”, it should be purty inneresting to see what happens after they finally “identify” his attackers and assaulters since it was caught on mainstream news and some were former “GOP officials”.
dayum, when’s it gonna happen???
Nobody I know ever had arrest warrants in C’ville when I went to UVA unless they did something BAD.
Like what the goons and Allen did to Mike. Coach Allen’s son would have maybe been given special privileges then. Tell me, please, that he is still not getting them.

look. a total brick wall is just that, all the way to the ground. would’t do any good to aim lower.

I’m headed to Savannah for Thanksgiving. I’m in Red country already here in NAples, FL, but Savannah is a bit over the top, particularly in GMom’s house. God help me.
anyone have the time & channel when cankerqueen debate to take place? MSNBC?
can’t watch it - won’t sleep. but would love to tape to watch tomorrow.
Adie @ 58
But she gushes…all the time…and won’t stop.
As to her brains, some folks have ‘em and still can’t see straight. Give me Judy Woodruff any day. I may not agree with her, but she doesn’t guuuuusssshhhh.
Could this be our year? Everything the Repubs have thrown at us we have thrown back a hundred times bigger. So unlike 00, 02 and 04 when we just couldnt catch a break. This Kerry thing is working for us. (Thanks for taking a bullet for us, John!) By we, of course, I mean the netroots and some of these AMAZING Dems running like gangbusters for the House and Senate. The Dem elite (like you Hilary) have been contemptible in their refusal to fight for our country’s honor and future instead of their own professional short term interest. Fooey on y’all.

Harris-Nelson 10:00pm MSNBC. I’m watching for entertainment value. Katherine is sure to step in it, that’s for sure. Anyone read the article in the post from yesterday? It sure was kookie! I’ll look for a link.
A video of the Olbermann commentary is up at C&L.

anybody else read that as Nipples, FL?
Thank you, Ned!
That’s all I wanna hear for the next 6 days — we demand an apology, Mr. Bush!
And then another two more years of it…
Seems we have mammary memory tonight.
Maybe Rove ordered them to show the Florida debate to distract us from the shenanigans he’s trying to pull in races the Repugs still have a prayer of winning.
Speakout @ 72
Actually, if you stay near downtown Savannah will surprise the heck out of you. It’s a college town, so even “they” have to understand that there are other points of view. I think you’ll have a great time, and if you want any tips on places to go, things to do, etc., etc., if you have time away from family festivities please let me know at “mgpaquin at aol dot com” It truly is a wonderful, beautiful place to be… It’s just that I was raised in NYC so it’s still too conservative for me… But it’s a GREAT place to visit. Full of history and beauty. Of course, Grandmas are Grandmas and their minds will not be changed. Just love her…

Almost funny to watch Wolf on camera w/ her. Hooo boy did he resent having her invade his turf, heh. Odd couple…
I don’t know whether I’ll ever again be able to hear a discussion of polling without thinking of pig disfigurement. Emotionally scarred for life.

Actually I’ve been going my whole life, usually every year or so. Miss Nellie (my GM) lives very close to the Bonaventure Cemetary. For the first time ever, though, I’m not staying with her, but staying at a hotel right down on River STreet. Too many family members this year, I guess. Should be fun, though.
Raven @ 6:49,
Absolutely! But let’s not forget Armstrong Atlantic University or Savannah State University… But SCAD has done simply wondrous things for Savannah. (Although there are thousands of people who LOATHE the Rowans… Don’t get me started on Paula…!)
Yea, I was thinking about downtown. I’ve worked with SSU and Armstrong.

Off to program the pre-toob-electronics maze in t’other room… wouldn’t miss this thing. just can’t stand it tonight…
BTW, when is Bush going to apologize to China, for manipulating the stereotype of the stingy Chinese person?
US President George W. Bush said that he hoped China would transform from a country where people “hoard the money they have” into one where people buy large amounts of US products.
(from a photo caption)
Thanks the cosmos for FDL, Olberman and YouTube.
Busy with GOTV phonebanking all day/evening, missed all the hullabaloo.
And here it is, captured and frozen in time for my enjoyment.
Bravo, Ned, that’s the way to answer WATB bullies!!
One thing is certain. This coming Nov. 8 is going to be one interesting day. It’s like when I was a much younger kiddo, waiting for my coming birthday or something.
Raven,
Do you ever come back for a visit? If you’re ever here what a treat it would be to meet another FDL person IN REAL LIFE… whew… not stalking here, but it would be fun to meet a real, live, FDL poster!

Speaking of polling,
NYT: Iraq War Frames ‘06 Vote in Last Poll before elections
Maybe the next poll should ask whether we should have an apology or an impeachment? The WaPo can do that one.
YESSS…. Timmeh is going to do the debate… MSNBC… NOW…
Be there or be square…
I think my last post may have been eaten. Anyway, as I was saying. I go to Savannah every year or so, since Miss Nellie, my 95 year old Grandmother has lived there most of her life. She lives near the Bonaventure Cemetary. This will be the first time I get to (have to?) stay in a hotel- One of the ones down on River STreet- can’t remember the name. Should be fun. oh, speaking of “Sugar Tits” ….the debate has started. haha
My work does get me there from time to time, I’ll hail ya if it occurs. I was honored to meet TRex a while back.
Marion in Savannah @ 100
Well, Timmeh started off with the JK faux pax… forgive me, but who embalmed Mr. Nelson????
Seriously, why is MSNBC airing this Nelson/Harrissss debate? Russert says it is a seat the Republicans “must” win in order to retain a majority in the Senate. Isn’t it a foregone conclusion that they are going to lose it?
Why are my posts being eaten?
Marion in Savannah @ 104
Paging President Al Gore.
I am watching this for us!

Good grief. He should be thankful the Chinese are bankrolling his massive deficits.
Harris: we have captured and killed 75% of the terrowists in Iraq…
holey moley. would that be all the terrowists?
Ok Marion- Maybe my post is too long? Anyway, I’ve been to Savannah many times. Miss NEllie lives near Bonaventure Cemetary, which is always worth a visit. What’s your beef with Paula?
Marion in Savannah @ 106
Harris isn’t looking so great, either.
Adie @ 92
Don’t even get me started on that Queen of Gushing, Carol Lin. Aaaaagggghhh!!!
I don’t think it is a virus. I think CNN deliberately looks for “gush” in their hiring decisions.
Where in the world do they teach that stuff, and why?
Why would anyone think that “gushing” was an appropriate method for presenting the news?
Why am I even asking this? *g*
Apologies in advance for any redundancy - From CNN via RawStory:
Boehner: …[L]et’s not blame what’s happening in Iraq on Rumsfeld.
Blitzer: But he’s in charge of the military.
Boehner: But the fact is the generals on the ground are in charge and he works closely with them and the president.
***
Republican House Maj. Leader scapegoats the military for the quagmire in Iraq.
angie @ 113
And they were all the #2 guy, everyone of them.
Interesting, the Nelson/Harris debate is the first I have ever seen with everyone sitting down.
Why would anyone think that “gushing” was an appropriate method for presenting the news?
meshu-gush
Is it just me, or is Nelson almost as pitiful as his opponent? Please tell me, is this the best that Florida can produce?? I thought the candidates here in Georgia sucked…..
