Really, the best response to this loser would be to hold him up to as much public ridicule as we can.

Firemen sometimes die in burning buildings looking for victims who are not there. Their deaths are not in vain, either.

Unless, as it turned out with Iraq, the house was not on fire when they ran in. God help this poor man. Really. All that hatred has got to be giving him heartburn.

THat is soooo true. When I had my little run-in with my former Republican friend at the restaurant on my b-day, I realized that one big diff between the right and left is that when the left rails, it’s usually against the political leaders. When the right rails, it’s about us, fellow citizens, neighbors, customer, etc.

And it’s ingrained now. Thirty years of name calling and lying, of branding us traitors, is not gonna go away overnight.

It’s not us, dimdick, it’s YOUR SIDE.

Good point, but it’s not *just* National Guard, but rather includes a more generic “troops”. Maybe I’m just a cockeyed optimist, but I can hardly see U.S. troops firing on U.S. citizens. Blackwater operatives (you had to bring that up, didn’t you) – maybe not so much.

Hell, I’ve already got plans on where to meet some folks in D.C. in case ‘The Revolution’ does in fact come about. And I’m not entirely betting against it.

this is true. we’re in a major battle right now but no matter what happens a week from today, the next battle will commence November 8th. and it will be every bit as nasty and ugly as this one. maybe even more so.
