Why has there been no mention of Nancy Reagan’s support for stem cell research? (Not to mention her contempt for Bush because of his opposition to it, among other reasons.) Have I missed reference to her in all of this?

thanks DAve. i couldn’t remember where i saw it. how pissed were you when she asked him if he could have filmed the commercial when his symptoms were better?
Then she discloses her father has parkinsons and although that’s sad her questioning his (fox’s) motives and accepting rush’s comments make even less sense.

No, this needs to go viral:

Much better than the Olbermann segment and more powerful. No smearing of either party, just the facts.

Cujo359 @ 29

OT: The only new poll of any significance at TPM Election Central is this Rasmussen poll for NJ-SEN. Here’s the money quote, I think:

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Republican Tom Kean Jr. with 43% of the vote and Democratic Senator Bob Menendez with 41%. However, when we add in the leaners, it’s all tied at 45% (see crosstabs).

What’s truly amazing about these numbers is the fact that Menendez can’t pull away despite the deep Blue nature of the state. By a margin of 54% to 36%, New Jersey voters prefer Democratic control of the Senate. But Menendez attracts only 74% of those who want Democrats running things.

It really is amazing. I don’t know much about Menendez, other than that he was appointed after the last Senator became the governor, but he sure doesn’t seem to have inspired NJ voters. 41/43 means that 14 percent are either undecided or voting third party. That’s a lot this close to an election.

I was hoping for news about CT-SEN, but no such luck.

He’s running a very lackluster campaign. NJ is really 2 states, north and south. North Jersey controls the political machines, and tends to be more voter rich then south Jersey, where I’m at.

Corzine chose Menedez over Rob Andrews, a very popular Congressman in southern NJ. They were both chairs of Corzine’s election campaign. This left a bad tatse in the mouths of the local Democratic activists.

Menendez has done nothing to reach out to the activits or voters in southern NJ. Just today yard signs made it to the office where I’ve ben volunteering. The yard signs can only be used in one of the 2 congressional districts here in southern NJ because on one side there is the name of the representative from the 1st congressional district. I live in the 2nd, and while it’s possible to use the one side with Menedez’s name on it, it severly limits the number that can be used.

They’ve basically written off 2 of the most southern counties, and from what I understand have no plans to do any out reach in them. If Menedez loses by less then 60,000 votes, writing off those counties will tell a tale.

If you want to be trully inspired for the election check out the speech delivered by Jim Webb today. A diary at Dkos has the You Tube links for video. After watching it I was left thinking this man could be our Presidential candidate in ‘08. Unbelievable speech…kicked it out of the ballpark.

Down near the bottom of the last thread there’s a link. A, heck, here it is:
