Howie- maybe you need to do another brief post about the ad campaign for Trupiano this weekend, given the deadline. I don’t know what a good time would be- tho not when people are knocking on doors. Last eve seemed to be pretty slow in terms of FDL traffic overall, and people might have missed the post. Also I wonder if other blogs that are supporting Trupiano (but not part of Blue America) might be willing to put out a call for the ad campaign- urging contributions to that particular campaign via Blue America- because of the awesome Jaquart, ad buys are something that BA PAC seems particularly well-placed to be effective in this.

I can’t believe people are willing to vote for Betty Montgomery after she let the massive Noe fraud happen.

I am proud to say Marc is my State Senator.
But I am even more proud of what he has done to open up the cesspool of coruption that the GOP wallows in.
Marc is like a pitbull driving a tank!
He truly stands up for what he believes in.
I e-mailed his office a while back and asked him what he was doing about predatory lending in Ohio. He told me. Then he added, “If I’m elected on Nov. 7, Ohio’s predatory lenders will have a good reason to be afraid…to be very afraid.”
I’m glad Marc’s working for me.
I can’t wait to see what happens when he starts working for all Ohioans who aren’t crooks or on the take.

I hope the Democratic Party will start putting a lot of emphasis on winning races for Secretary of State in the various states. The SOS controls the electoral process, and we cannot afford to have the Republicans running our electoral machinery. Florida and Ohio have been disasters in that respect.

You already got my vote. I am curious what would you say to a republican who is voting for strickland, but not for you. In Madison County we have a lot of these, and I am looking for a good line to use.

As you may have noticed if you’re reading the other comments, Marc’s gone now. My advice is to tell them that if what they’re mad about is corruption and fraud in your state, the way to clean that up is to change attorney generals, and that if much of the corruption in your state is due to Republicans, it’s probably a safe bet that a Democrat would be more interested in stopping it.

The attorney general of a state determines the course and the priority of corruption investigations at the state level, and is often the one who investigates fraud and corruption at the county and municipal level, as well.

I’d go with this one, Robert:

“If there’s a posterchild for Republican corruption in state government, it’s Betty Montgomery. She has been in positions over the last 12 years, first as Attorney General and then as Auditor, and when they set this corrupt investment system up at Workmen’s Comp, she was their lawyer!”

Marc had to run off to a campaign event. Next topic (from my perspective): Tony Trupiano. We’re desperately looking to put the Blue America TV spots on the suburban Detroit cable network next week in a way meaningful enough to win the election for Tony. We really need some contributions to the BLUE AMERICA PAC

Do you have a target, Howie? Sometimes setting a goal helps. I dropped a little in last night, BTW.

I know what you mean about a target, Cujo. But the more money we get into the PAC, the more ads we can put up on TV. I hope we can raise at least $20,000 more by Monday. If we do I think we can win in this district. MyDD and some of the other blogs have put up pleas for this as well. (And thanks for your donation yesterday.)
