My first concert was actually Blondie with Duran Duran opening. It was pre-”Rio”. We were all in the audience, like, “Duran who?”

Then the show started and all doubts were erased.

Actually that was the tour in support of Rio, but before the Hungry Like the Wolf video made it onto heavy rotation on newly minted MTV and translated back into radio request/airplay which broke open the North American sales floodgates for the Fab Five.
