Gillibrand certainly has the momentum. Hillary came to my little village on Monday to endorse her and it was a wonderful rally. Bill Clinton will be in Albany tomorrow with Kirsten and Brian Keeler at NYSUT (teacher’s union) for another rally. I get to see two Clintons this week! My sister - working hard for Harry Mitchell (who will upset that vile JD Hayworth) in Arizona got to see and chat with Ambassador Joe last night at neighbor’s house. We’re starstruck and loving it!

Yes, I will be there….looking forward to it.

I’m SOOOO glad you guys are giving some attention to Kirsten Gillibrand’s challenge of the Miami Mob Leader.

For those few firedoglakers who may not know, Sweeney issued the infamous “shut it down” order that sent a mob of DeLay staffers to violently disrupt a legal vote recount in Miami-Dade.

That would be enough for me to support anyone running against Sweeney, but in volunteering over the last few months, I’ve met Gillibrand a handful of times, and she is the real deal — smart, aggressive, well-funded, great on her feet, genuine, empathetic, Democratic to her core.

She’s come from nowhere to within single-digits, and needs all the help she can get over the next 13 days.

Go here to find out what you can do.

In a nutshell: Renzi cut one deal in 2003 that helped take water out of the San Pedro River, financially benefiting a major political backer but potentially devastating to the waterway

ahhhhh Ohhhhhh messing with the AZ waterways… THAT is big. Water is black gold here, it is real gold….. range wars are fought over water…. Oh man….. that east coast carpetbagger really stepped in it!

Just got around to reading this.

That is quite a stink, isn’t it? Water is precious in that area. There’s very little of it on the ground most of the time, I can tell you that. I’ve had reason to visit Ft. Huachuca for the past couple of decades, although I don’t remember anything about ManTech. It’s probably one of those low-cost contractors that just provide workers for the government agencies there. There are so many of them in that area that I doubt even the natives can keep track of them all. I think they’ve run out of three-latter acronyms, so now they’re working on glomming syllables together to form company names.

Anyway, good luck getting rid of Renzi. There will be plenty of his kind left after this election. Getting rid of a few won’t screw up that ecosystem.

Re the interview with Senator Kerry, someone asked whether Deb called the Senator “John.” The two places she used it were situations in which Deb was probably referring to Jon Jennings, Kerry staffer, who helped set up the meeting.

Audrey (47), kos has a post up saying Bell can win Texas governship: Perry (R) 36; Bell (D) 26; Strayhorn (I) 19; Friedman (I) 16. Kinky Friedman votes would have to go to Bell; Strayhorn is a Republican running as an Independent. Also, Bell has TV ads running here.

If you feel that Kerry hasn’t done enough check this out
Revdeb met with Senator Kerry yesterday, including substantial time spent on Use It or Lose It, and you can read all about it–it even made a recommended diary at dkos!

(if link doesn’t come through go to #48)

Taylor Marsh does a great job on Kerry’s money, too. It’s worth reading, especially if you think he hasn’t done enough.

He’s doing a LOT more than others, IMO.
