People are not buying into the manipulation of the stock market and gasoline prices as signs of a great economy but are looking around them and judging the economy by local standards. Remember when gas prices were going through the roof, and Bush said he couldn’t do anything about it because it was just the market forces? Now that they’ve gone down, he personally was able to do something.
