“Joe’s losing it.”

Yeah right. He’s pulled so far ahead Lamont will be lucky to get 35% Congratulations, Netholes, on making Lieberman even more self-righteous, and even more powerful.

“I’m not sure Joe is just a politician. There is something darker going on here. An unyielding blinded support of zionism mixed with an steady march toward totalitarian rule(tired of partisan politics = one party). Joe’s sources of financial and political support are troubling.”

Quite.

g1lgam3sh @ 219

“T. Atkinson #79″

I’m English, I’ve been around a lot of blogs for quite a while, pre-Chimpy even.

I’ve always been fascinated by the American zeitgeist and the way it can be catapulted into blowback.

It has been obvious from the start that the fix was in, events since have merely reinforced the blindingly obvious.

I have observed signs of an awakening from the reverie and in a sense the Nomentum to Joementum exemplifies that.

I have taken more than a casual interest in this character for quite a while, more so after I was stunned to discover he was actually going to be a VP candidate, and not for GWB.

I use him as a touchstone, in my opinion he denotes the very worst aspects of ‘politicians’.

All politicians masquerade, it’s part of the game; however, pretending to be A when you’re actually Z, or more appositely ME, and being proud of that duplicity, well…

I discovered FDL through following his ‘progress’. You cannot begin to imagine my astonishment when he petulantly refused to accept the results of the Primary and yet he is still in the race.

My astonishment is obviously NOT because Joeicide petulantly refused to accept the result of the Primary.

There is so much darkness over there that over here any little light is hope that our American friends will pull back from the abyss.

That’s it, he’s emblematic, let’s hope his defeat becomes symbolic.

It’s very interesting to read your point of view from the outside, thanks for sharing it.

’sconset, welcome to FDL. We love hearing about campaigns and what works and what doesn’t. You won’t meet me on the campaign trail this year - I live in Kulifohnia (damn, I wish he’d learn to pronounce it right) - but you will meet many others.

Come back soon.

I have tried several times to look at the COMPLETE list of Joe’s financial supporters. I am not so much interested in the corporate as I am in the individual ones. Is there anyone at FDL who can provide the link for this information and would they kindly do so? I went to the FEC but I couldn’t get the information I need.

By way of introduction, I am a big supporter of Ned–I have sent him money and will be spending time with the campaign for the last 10 days. Regretably, I could not commit more time to him–but I live in Massachusetts.

Ned’s campaign did 2 things wrong after the primary–he went off to Maine and he brought in “consultants from DC”. I am 57 years old, and I have been on some of the biggest campaigns in this country, and I am convinced that it is a waste of resources to turn to consultants. They have their own agendas–which is usually a very large consulting fee and they bring little or nothing to the candidate.

Running a campaign is exhausting–but Ned should have kept going.
I know he is very tired but you have to keep the tension and momentum going. Had I been on the staff I would have advised against it.

Ned needs to get Bill Clinton and Al Gore in to the state ASAP. He should also pour as much money as possible into the race with ads about the energy bill. I cannot stand Lieberman–he needs to go.

Thanks for allowing me to express my opinion. I look forward to meeting some of you on the campaign trail.
