Mary Bono has ugly “smear the liberal” TV commericals running, and she has a million corporate bucks to do that. The ads worry a lot of Roth supporters, as people are so easily influenced.

David Roth refuses to take contributions from Big Health conglomerates or oil companies, so naturally, Roth has less to spend. The Roth for Congress campaign has a great message, so if you are able to contribute to Roth via Blue America, we will have even more resources to get our message out.

There can be no talk of impeachment while Cheney is VP, guys.

Well, they already set a helpful precedent when they testified together for the 9/11 commission. I’m okay with twin, linked indictments. They both go, or Cheney goes alone, but not Bush alone.

About the slush fund, someone just told me they spoke to a person at the FEC, who acknowledged that the complaint had been filed, but that it was unlikely anything could be done with the investigation until after the election. Which is pretty much what I figured.

The real damage this can cause for Joe is if the MSM picks up on it and starts asking the campaign where the money went. But my opinion of the MSM is that they’re a bunch of lazy, status-quo loving sheep, who would rather transcribe what is given to them than actually have to go out and DEVELOP a story, so I don’t expect a lot from them.

Basically, it’s up to US to keep the pressure on Joe and the MSM to cover this story. Don’t forget that Dick Nixon was reelected almost five months after Committee to Reelect the President employees were caught burglarizing the Watergate DNC HQ office, so if we don’t dig for the truth on this, it won’t come out until it’s way too late.

LTTEs and calls TV & radio news stations will help. And GOTV efforts can REALLY help at this point, since we’ll be the prime source of info on this scandal.

And CSPAN will rebroadcast the debate at 11PM EDT, if I heard correctly. WTNH.COM has streaming video, and WTIC.COM will have streaming audio. And watch your local listings, because CSPAN has been known to include important coverage last minute.
