You should really run this in the upstate New York races! *Cheap* media markets. Only open seat is NY-24 (Mike Arcuri is running).

Some of the more notable races:
NY-20: Kristen Gillibrand is running to unseat
John Sweeney
NY-23: Dr. Bob Johnson is running to unseat John McHugh
NY-25: Dan Maffei is running to unseat Walsh
NY-26: Jack Davis is running to unseat the now-infamous Tom Reynolds
NY-29: Fighting Dem Eric Massa is running to unseat “Shotgun” Randy Kuhl

It’s especially notable that the media markets for NY-29, NY-26, and NY-25 overlap substantially due to the weird district shapes (and the large geographic coverage of stations in upstate NY). Parts of all three districts can all be reached by Rochester airwaves (although Rochester proper is in Louse Slaughter’s district).

There’s also such a market (Syracuse, Oswego) covering parts of NY-23 and NY-25.
NY-20 and NY-23 are enormous districts, but are arranged so that there’s also a media market where you can hit parts of both — it’s a kind of desolate rural one, though.

Unfortunately, I listen to radio so rarely I couldn’t tell you which stations to target.

I know you’re already considering running it in Massa’s district. But if you pick the right station, a single ad buy could run it for Massa *and* Davis *and* Maffei, which would be triple-the-value in some sense!

EPU’d from the future on the “And We Have a Winner…” thread.
Nate @ 26

What a thunderbolt of a headline to “wake up” to. I got kicked in the gut by a Muy Thai fighter I like to call ‘Diverticulitis’ and have been offline for almost a day and a half. I log on, follow an email link and get bowled over by the glaring and radiant sunlight of the liberal blogosphere.

Punnaise, egregious, ValleyGirl, everyone from the BlueAmerica Contest thread… THANK YOU! So much Mahalo to all of you and everyone at FDL. Especially Howie!

Charlie Brown is everything I could have hoped for not just as a candidate but as a Leader and as a Great Man. I have been riding a whirlind of insanity since I arrived from HI and the dramatic and rapid environment change have taken a toll.

A week ago today I first joined up with the campaign at a Veterans Hall - Town Hall forum and watched thunderous applause shake the roof as Max Cleland (a hero in every sense of the word) introduce another hero in Charlie Brown. His answers were unequivocal… His questions were even more powerful… For you West Wing fans, I felt like Josh Lyman watching Matt Santos speak for the first time. It was powerful!

I start going full-swing on Monday and in the meantime, in spite of sitting in a horrible kids chair and working on a computer propped up on boxes with a 5 year old tiny monitor and an unstable internet connection, I will get a bunch of stuff done between now and then. Including: Finishing getting several videos from the debate and the campaign online for viewing and writing up some comprehensive posts about first hand observations and ways people can help us fight this Good Fight.

This race is by no means a lock. It is difficult to describe the zealotry and fanatacism of some of the Republicans in this district. Here are some video highlights to get a full update though.

Debate News Wrap Up

Doolittle Talking-Point Debate Tactics Montage - Funny and disturbing at the same time.

My campaign commercial about John Doolittle with links to the site in the video.

But we CAN AND WILL win this one! We just need to keep the pressure up and get the National Media eye pointed at the CA-04th as much as the local eye. “Spotlight” anyone?

Thanks again everyone… more to come tonight!

Met David Roth at a fundraiser…nice, smart, informed, personable man who looks and sounds like a winner. I live in Palm Springs and haven’t seen a Bono support sign in anyone’s yard yet (though I’m sure there must be somewhere)…but lots and lots of Roth signs. And to hear he has a serious chance..well, there is a God and she is pissed!

Bought my winter supply of firewood this week so sorry I missed the thread due to splittin’ chores. It sure has been an honor to participate with everyone here in my small way with this years campaign.
Thanks again Howie and FDL.

Didn’t know the contest was over, but I voted for Charlie and threw some other $$ his way, then heard upstairs that y’all had picked him after all! Wonderful news — we really need to rid DeeCee of both Doolittle and Pombo in order to make any progress on lobbyist/crime reform.

Hi — I’m late to the party, but I put in my .02 for Charlie Brown. We all know I love Charlie Brown, and more so after this week’s debate with John Doolittle. But I really want the $$ to go where they will be most effective. This is one where, no matter who wins, we all win.
