We were the only rock band that wasn’t a form of punk or metal (even though at the time we shared our drummer with a punk band!), so of course everyone else there thought we were losers. We saw their point but totally disagreed.</p> <p>Same revolving-door waiting list out of touch landlords crappy other bands sorta thing. Some days we definitely fit into the crappy other bands part, but not often. One of my more eccentric musician friends has been bugging me to play keys in a concept act. He’s calling it Polka-core. I wonder if this is the same people? Are your guys in Indiana?

Ever heard of “The Blue Meanies?” They were lumped into the ska thing, but they weren’t a ska band (like most fo the “ska” bands of the time). More like Polka and circus calliope music at light speed.

I am going to be in the UK on tour with the Low Lows and we have a bunch of days off… and it looks like eating out in London costs about as much as I normally spend on food in a WEEK. You can fly Ryan Air to Venice for just a few quid more than eating at most London restaurants. Someone tell me where the cheap curry is!
