I have been promoting the Abramoff/CNMI ties to this scandal for a long time.

I am glad to see the issue impacting some tight races. I want to applaud Defenders and anybody else who had a hand in this story, especially the reporter, Erica Werner.

The AP has had the CNMI records for almost two years. Erica may be the first AP reporter to use them to see how a single Congressman worked with Abramoff.

The same story could be told in many more races. I hope it will be.
