Taegon Goodard in politicalwire.com says a Univ. of CT poll shows Lamont is way behind Liarman. Was there such a poll?

There’s been a lot of debate about this at FDL lately.
Pollster .com show that the two most recent Zogby and Rasmussen polls both show Ned suddenly ten points behind. That drop happened in seven days. Prior to that Ned was within two points according to both. Something happened, but I’m not sure what yet. CT Bob was on last night and sounded confident.

I wouldn’t trust Rasmussen to read my weight off a scale, but Zogby at least used to be somewhat credible. Hard to know what’s going on, although I still think poll sampling has to suffer when current telecommunications make so many registered voters inaccessible.

First of all – Joe is using the Republican money he has raised to blanket the airwaves with ads. Of course they don’t put Ned in a favorable light. Secondly – most polls after the primary showed Ned from 2 to 10 points behind Lieberman. Have no idea how Zogby got the number it released in it’s latest poll – it was clearly an outlier.

Hopefully, the Lamont campaign will begin putting out ads that start hammering Joe. Ned got a lot of great endorsements this week – and canvassing is really gearing up. And there will be three debates, during which residents get to see whiney, lying Joe in action (and perhaps rude and angry Joe, too). And finally, there were some good pieces in the Hartford Courant about Ned today.

Republicans and lobbyists are pouring money into Joe’s campaign so they can keep him in office – that’s the difference between the primary and the campaign now. I’d say Ned is being outspent three to one.

Actually, I think it’s a rather good picture. Very true-to-life.

Other commenters have mentioned that it’s not that unusual for Congressional staffs.

“There are plenty of odd couple Congressmen who have roomed together on Capitol Hill, but I have never heard of a chief of staff who rooms with his boss. It is beyond unusual.”

And yet, we still should mention it. They would! We have to stop fighting napalm with matches.
