If you were a Republican voter would you trust Joe? He has a proven record of duplicity. Unless they have something on him - there is no guarantee that he is safely reliable even for the Repubs. Joe likes to be seen with the movers and shakers. He can’t bear to be out of the limelight, (or the majority party). He has run a listless campaign, with lots of lying, and no excitement. Ned on the other hand is bringing new blood to the mix. That combined with the blowing winds of change should serve him well. Just waiting to hear how the candidates respond to the nuclear test in No. Korea. Will Joe pretend this is not a partisan issue? Another chance for him to step up to plate - will he be playing for America or the Republicans?

The name for this scandal should be “mastur-gate”. Not my invention,I read it somewhere on tthe internets. Brilliant, I think since it brings up echos of Seinfeld, and the master of my domain, as well.

This may backfire on Joe and cause Republicans to consider voting for Lamont. Most Democrats already know where they stand, but Joe is now pointing would-be Republican voters toward Lamont.

Brilliant people you have working for you, Joe.

Don’t forget, Tucker Carlson was one of the Republican boys, who were trained in media at one of the Right wing Institutes! He has been fed and used the message out ‘du jour’ from Rove etal, on how to twist and distort the news.

He chose this forum to spill this for a reason, folks, and if I had my guess, it is a Dem they are gathering info on to expose! Their philosophy—well if they are not going to vote for us, we will make sure they will not vote for them!

Jane — I know this thread is incredibly stale now, but I thought I’d leave this with you.

The League of Pissed Off Voters (renamed League of Young Voters) had scorecards through 2004 on members of Congress, ranking them as progressive/conservative depending on their voting history.

Through 2004, Joe-nertia only scored a 75.47% — that’s 11% more conservative than Chris Dodd during the same period. Joe-nertia got a 41 out of 100 on the ranking scale; that means 40 Senators were more progressive than he was.

What a lying hack.

The scores through 2004 also rank him highly on abortion rights; we now know that’s pure crap, and on an adjusted scale, we know he’s worse than his 75.47% score.

Sic ‘em.

On the weekend Chris Matthews program, Tucker Carlsen predicted that another lawmaker will be outed in the Foley scandal as having been a bad boy. I keep fantasizing it is Lieberman. One can only dream. It would be such a fitting end to such a whiny slug.
