There is one way to try to get Joe Lieberman to stop lying. Ask him, until he gives a clear answer, if he will promise to not support the Republicans for Senate leadership for the entire six years of the term. Ask him to promise that he will not vacate the seat if a Republican is likely to be named to replace him.

Joe Lieberman has betrayed the Democratic Party over and over again so he needs to make a binding promise not to perform the ultimate betrayal, which he seems to have been headed for since the mid 90s. Make him go on record in no uncertain terms. If he won’t you know that he planned to jump to the Republicans all along.

Again, a false premise and no amount of swear to die, etc is going to work. Nothing, I repeat, nothing a liar says, can be worth the oxygen consumed in uttering it. I don’t care if Joe swore on a stack of copies of the Old Testament–we all know him, so this line of argument makes no sense. He’d sell out Hadassa, if the price were right.
