Reynold’s Chief of Staff at the NRCC, Fordham, who was let go today from the NRCC says that he told the house leadership about Foley TWO YEARS ago, asked for intervention, and is willing to talk to the FBI and/or the House ethics committee.

I caught the very end of the PBS interview. A man was saying that it was too expensive for the U.S. to try all the suspects, to bring them here from overseas etc. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and waited to hear the interviewer say John Yoo.

John Warner’s appalling rationalization for eliminating habeas corpus (at least in response to my letter about the earlier Graham bill, I assume it’s the same for the recent torture bill) is basically that it eliminates the inconvenience of those terrorists abusing our justice system with frivolous claims. You know, the same false argument they make about medical malpractice. Talk about hitting a fly with a sledgehammer!

The man used to have a brain and a conscience. I don’t know what happened to him, but it just makes me sick.

I did some checking this morning based on a nagging question, “how often is pedophelia happening with Republicans?” I googled for about 15 minutes, and in the process became genuinely frightened and puzzled..from the sheer numbers of cases I found. This is way, way bigger than I thought.

Maybe I’m dense, but I’d like to hear theories about why the Republican Party apparently has a much bigger problem with pedophelia than the Democratic Party.
