He’s a great guy. You can check him out by looking at his diaries on dKos, where he talks about his campaign and how many people in his district are absolutely disgusted by Hastert, and answers lots of questions about his positions on issues. John Laesch is a progressive candidate.

Here’s hoping John Laesch will incorporate this information into the long list of reasons why folks in his congressional district should dump Hastert *soonest.*

The page worked for Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-La., who said Friday that when he learned of the e-mail exchanges 10 to 11 months ago, he called the teen’s parents. Alexander told the Ruston Daily Leader, “We also notified the House leadership that there might be a potential problem.”

House Speaker Dennis Hastert said Friday he had asked the chairman of the House’s page board, Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., to investigate the page system. “We want to make sure that all our pages are safe and the page system is safe,” Hastert said.

So Hastert has known about this guy for ELEVEN MONTHS???

The question might be one of did Hastert report this to the police or not. I don’t know what the law is there but if that happened in Arizona and you didn’t report it you are in deep, deep do-do.

There’s a young man running against Hastert. He was interviewed on Ed Shultz’s show just a few days ago. We should probably try and get this informatio re Hastert to him.
