&lt;p&gt;Okay.  I’ve slept on it.  I wake up feeling as I did yesterday.  JUST as angry as Mary, but siding with Christy on tactics to GET DONE WHAT WE MUST DO - elect progressives to unleash our government from the current lawless republican stranglehold which holds the nation captive and makes a sham out of our democracy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I don’t understand Sherrod Brown’s vote yesterday.  I, as [hopefully] his future constituent, will write and tell him to come forward ASAP to justify his action.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As I said yesterday, I do not know Sherrod Brown personally, and have never even met him.  But I HAVE watched his career and performance closely over years’ time, and have been impressed that he is a man who means what he says, and works hard, consistently, and with considerable expertise to support progressive causes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have not known him to bow down and go along with bad legislation in the past.  But yesterday’s bill was so heinous in its potential consequences, there is no satisfactory explanation I can think of.  So I will give him a chance to explain himself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If he chooses to post some response at FDL,  I’m going hope everyone who wishes to will let him know of their disappointment and, yes, shock.  But I sure hope Mary (and those who share her feelings) will put the serrated knives back in the drawer and instead use her celebrated eloquence to express herself.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;I’ve always thought that Bush was a serial killer by proxy.  The signs were likely all there.  We know about the animal torture; the only reason we haven’t heard about the others is that the dolt probably tried to set fire to his bed &lt;em&gt;after&lt;/em&gt; he wet it.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Somehow I get the feeling that he’s now getting his jollies by watching videos of the torture taking place in Gitmo and elsewhere.  It’s a scary thought, but one I can’t seem to shake.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

I think we are all so emotional - and we hold a wide range of opinions and perspectives on these issues.
