(I live in rural Maine, and help with the counting of our paper ballots. It is a very common pattern in general elections: president from one party; everybody else from the other.)

But even the angriest people on the right tend to be funny. Books like this one are a depressing reminder of how important it is for writers to have a slight sense of humor about themselves, if they want to be taken at all seriously

Too bad being peaceful, nurturing and compassionate is such a bad thing in the rough, tough USofA.
