First off, I want to thank all the poeple who have e-mailed me over the last day. This is the kind of community that is necessary to the success of our Democracy. I am honored Howie and Jane gave me the chance to express myself openly and honestly. What impresses me most of all is the sincerity and genuine gratitude you all have for authentic Progressives. For that I have had a prayer answered.

I also want to thank everyone who has taken the time to contribute to the camapign. Every dollar is an investment in a compassionate and responsible way of life for all of us. I honestly believe that when the underinformed see how we lead and why we lead, they will finally get it. We have to win first and this is a great start to what I am fighting so hard to do: Win! Thank you all again.

As the next 44 days unfold, I want to be sure to remember that winning isn’t enough; it’s a start and nothing more. But we must win in order to lead, and we must lead in order to create change that is meaningful and purposeful. I am dedicated to that idea as we move closer to November 7.

I am grateful to all of you. I believe in you. Please believe that!

Thank you for putting the spotlight on Tony. I have gotten my info on him from his website. I was hoping one of the blogs would feature him as he seems to be a ‘real deal’ progressive. I cannot stand “my” representative, Thad McCotter. In the time he has been in Congress, I have watched his voting record and realized McCotter’s rubber stamp tendencies. I’ll be stopping by the office to volunteer. It is nice to vote for a progressive rather than lesser objectionable candidate. GO Tony!

So good to hear of you again. I lost track of your radio show and its like discovering a lost friend at a reuinion. Your radio show was a real inspiration for me, and as someone who grew up in Michigan, it was good to hear someone who could speak to rural Michigan without giving into its baser nature. You really were the heart of Michigan for me and the piece I miss while I discard the rest.

Best of Luck. Michigan needs you, as does the rest of the US. We’re with you in this long fight.
