Jason Leopold has documents including the letter that was sent to Robert Luskin about Rove that is going to prove Rove made a deal. I also heard he spent two weeks in WAshington meeting with lawyers and document specialists.

P J Evans @ 5

Okay … but can we have a snail-mail address for donating, please?? (I’m sure y’all are tired of hearing this, but I’ve been trying to donate since this started, and the ‘donate via plastic’ page insists on having a Paypal account! It didn’t used to do that, I don’t know what happened to it, and I’m frustrated!)

Snail: they’re working on it.

Paypal: you can check “Don’t have a paypal account?” and it takes you to a regular credit card page. But I agree it’s confusing. Hope that our hard-working tech people can make it easier for people to find the regular credit card option. We want EVERYBODY’s money :)

I still think that Valerie Plame can see through buildings. Not real thick buildings, but still….

Lyin’ Joe Wilson has been improperly respected for the way he has shrewdly changed his “truth”. But they both look swell in Prada. And those VF pix, oh dahling….

Cheers

Richard Armitage has stated that the State Deparment memo dated June 10, 2002 and repubished for Colin Powell in Africa on July 7, 2000 was his sole source.

Robert Novak’s article contained information not contained in that June 10th memo, which was marked (S)ecret in the area identifying Valerie Wilson as the wife of Joseph Wilson. From this data, how did Robert Novak know to ask the CIA to confirm employment of Valerie Plame? One of the reasons Armitage did not know that he was the primary leaker was because Novak used the name “Valerie Plame” and Armitage did not know her by that name, although he would have to be pretty dense not to realize that the Valerie Plame, wife of Joseph Wilson, was the same person as the Valerie Wilson that he read about.

Novak also included other details not mentioned in the June 10th memo. So, just where did Robert Novak get this additional information?

While Libby is the only person indicted for lying (perjury) he certainly is not the only key participant that is lying.

Jennifer, thanks for your answers to my 7 questions above. My question #3 was not about the thermometer but about the fact that donations for both the book and fdl in general might look the same when received.

3. Some way to differentiate donations for Marcy versus donations to FDL in general. It looks from this side of the table that both kinds of donations are processed identically. How do the powers that be know when a donation is for the book?

And finally, the donation in question should have been enough to register, which is why I am questioning whether it was received. We had been at a plateau for a while, and the entire purpose of this donation was to get things moving again.

Hopefully there will be more funds available after the election. I think a lot of us are stretching to support political candidates between now and then.

Best of luck with this work: we WILL make it happen.

Jennifer:
How about using Arianna’s way of vetting each chapter individually as a post on FDL and get reactions to those posts/chapters? Not only would this enhance the project, it would also be a reminder to donate.
