could someone give me a link on who is responsible for treaties please?

I want to point out that the president doesn’t unilaterally define or disolve treaties

He doesn’t? Don’t worry. He will. Or at least he’ll throw a sobbing shirt-wetting snot-dripping foot-stomping tantrum about it, after which he will be firmly led away to his animal crackers and milk. And Valium. And…etc.

well, according to the constitution, any treaties we enter into are the “supreme law of the land”.

but that question is an open topic apparently. there are arguments for only the president, the president and the senate, or the president and the entire congress, respectively.

i tend to think that if the senate and the president ratify them, then it’s the senate and the president who have to unratify them.

Article II, section 2, of the Constitution states that the president “shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, …

Margaret Atwood invented a remote control book signing robot so that she wouldn’t have to go on tour. It’s too bad her readers had to gather at the bookstore where the robot was signing. Otherwise, we might be able to figure out how to get the honored guests to sign the firepups’ books!

I have to tone down my questions to David Broder and then I can get published as I did today. I find I really have to consider the wapo chatter before I submit any of my queries– I don’t think the mods have all that much to say about things, and I reckon it is only fair. Today I was able to get 3 out of 5 questions taken between Broder and Weisman– sometimes I am even able to get my point across :).
