After reading this post I received an email from Bill Clinton on behalf of the DSCC. The Subject was The Consequences of Inaction. It urged me to act now to ensure a Democratic Senate.

Here is my reply:

We see the consequences of inaction every day. Inaction by the Democrats in the Senate and in the House. Afraid to oppose the policies of George W. Bush. If they would fillibuster something, anything, it would send a message to the people that Democrats actually stand for something. I’m tired of being told to take action when the very people in a position to take action — the people we ELECTED to take action — are too timid and afraid to do so.

With all due respect…I’ll take action when they do.

Despite all of these votes, Lieberman now claims he’s been trying to “end the war.”
Interesting assertion from a guy who wanted permanent military bases in Iraq, and has made remarks suggesting that Iraq is some kind of spring board for Iran (which the Neocons are hyping up as a “bigger threat” to Israel than “Hitler”(?)). And of course HoeJoe has made comments about an “inevitable” clash with China for oil. Yes, I guess it’s definitely time to start looking at war profiteering.

Old Sow — if you are using Norton anti-virus, they had a recent upgrade that causes a problem with the Java pop-ups. That may be why you are getting nothing but a plink. I’ve been typing in the HTML by hand for links in comments.
